Your twenties are weird, aren't they? The first few years of them are spent in school, where you act semi-adultish, then all of the sudden you're thrown into the real world with a real job, real bills and extremely real problems. Your twenties are also a time to explore, travel, experience new things and enjoy your time! Here's a list of things every girl should do in her twenties.

1. Go off the grid with your friends.

Turn your cellphones off and just enjoy the moment.

2. Do something new and adventurous.

Whether it be a 5k, trying a new restaurant with crazy, interesting food choices or cliff jumping, go do something fun and new!

3. Foster a pet.

I know that owning a pet can be overwhelming and not something everyone in their twenties can handle. Why not foster a pet? There are so many cats and dogs at animal shelters that need a temporary home!

4. Own a plant.

One of the first steps to adulthood is responsibility for a living thing. A cactus might be the easiest thing to keep alive, so that is a good first choice.

5. Knit something.

My fourth grade history teacher taught my whole class how to knit. It is still a therapeutic hobby for me to this day. Plus, inexpensive hand-made Christmas presents!

6. Travel alone.

This doesn't mean to pack your bags and hop on a plane across the world. This could be a trip to a new coffee shop a few hours from home or spending a day at your local lake.

7. Go on a blind date.

You're in your twenties. Your friends have friends who have friends who know this really cute guy. Give it a try! You never know what might come of it!

8. Volunteer.

Volunteering opens your eyes to so many different aspects of life. If you're still in college, volunteering is a great resume builder.

9. Talk to the elderly.

There is so much to learn from older, wiser adults. They will surely provide you with words of wisdom, and we all need a little bit of that in our lives.

10. Perform a random act of kindness.

Do you grab coffee from the same coffee shop every day? Why not pay it forward and pick up the order of the guy waiting in line behind you? You never know how much this can change someone's day. And who knows, maybe they'll pay for the person behind them.

11. Call your family more.

This isn't something to only do in your twenties, but with the hustle and bustle of the transition from college to a career, it can be easy to forget to make time for those important people in your life that have helped you become the woman you are today.

12. Try a tattoo (even a temporary one)

Always wanted to see how cool you would look with that special symbol on your wrist? Try it.

13. Journal your thoughts.

Your twenties are some of the best years of your life. They're full of unpredictable moments, adventure and growth. Start carrying a journal with you, so you can write down all of the amazing things that come your way!

14. Read a book.

Maybe don't only read one book in your twenties, but take time to relax and enjoy an alternate reality!

15. Clean out your closet.

Still holding on to those jeans from senior year of high school that you haven't worn in years? Trash them.

16. Have a spa day.

Treat yourself to a relaxing spa day! You don't even have to go to an actual spa. You can transform your living room into a mani pedi paradise. Invite your girls over, eat pizza, drink wine and unwind from the stresses of life.

17. Love yourself.

This is the most important thing you can do for yourself. This isn't just for when you're in your twenties, but now is a good time to begin this healthy habit.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
