You can't deny it. School has started, there's a slight chill in the air, and you can't seem to shake the idea that the seasons are changing. Is it truly fall yet? Check out these signs to see if the best season of the year is here yet.

1. You have to binge-watch entire seasons of your favorite shows because the new seasons are starting.


2. Everything tastes like a pumpkin.


3. Things start looking like pumpkins (and pumpkins start looking like other things).

5. They start to show next spring’s clothes...now.

6. You wish you had bought new fall clothes back in March.


7. You have at least one “autumn” versus “fall” argument.


8. Cider and donuts become a staple in your diet.


9. You have the undeniable urge to pick bushels of apples that you know you’re not going to eat.


10. You start seeing pictures on Facebook that look like this.

12. Walking around outside sounds like you’re stepping on potato chips.


13. You start hoarding Halloween candy that you know you’re not going to share.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
