Having watched "Gilmore Girls" (twice), I feel qualified enough to explain the relationship between one of the most loved characters in a TV series, Rory and Lorelai Gilmore. There is something about the dynamic duo that is captivating and flat-out hilarious. If you and your mom are BFFs, I would continue reading.
1. You guys can talk about anything and everything.
Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING is off limits. You might feel frazzled at first for being asked weird questions and being lectured about off-limit topics. Well, there is nothing you can do about it. Also, boys are a huge topic of discussion.
2. You basically share a closet.
Your mom’s closet is your closet and vice versa. So, you can't get mad when one person takes another person's clothes. It just happens. Take it as a compliment.
3. Growing up, everyone was jealous because she was the “cool mom.”
And she was the cool mom, to be honest. Sometimes she made you cooler.
4. You get through all life’s curve balls together.
Whatever drama it may be, you guys have got each other's backs.
5. Only you can understand her quick-paced wit and humor.
It might be hard to keep up with each other from a stranger's standpoint, but that's where the fun is!
6. Although you’re the child, sometimes you need to give the advice.
Sometimes, your mom just wants to be a kid like you. Help her grow up.
7. You get mistaken as sisters and totally take that as a compliment.
"Do we?" "That's so sweet, we never get that!"
8. There is no such thing as secrets between you two.
This can be a good and bad thing.
9. She knows all of your friends and exactly how you feel about them.
She knows all the drama and even who's dating who!
10. Friday nights usually consist of watching movies and eating lots and lots of junk food.
And it's totally worth it.
11. You both take coffee very seriously.
It's a way of life. It's how you guys get up in the morning and how you guys communicate.
12. You love to show each other affection.
Even when it’s borderline embarrassing. You two love each other, duh!
13. She will ALWAYS have your back.
No matter what.
14. She’s honest with you 100 percent of the time.
Brutally honest at some points.
15. She taught you all your morals and values.
All of which you listen to and take seriously.
16. You two are practically inseparable.
You guys can't imagine life without each other.
