16 Signs You May Be A Transfer Student

While most students attending 4 year universities started out as freshmen, there are the select few (or many at some schools) that arrived with some credits under their belts. Most often these students are sophomores and juniors. Whether they were dual enrolled in high school, took some classes at the local community college, graduated with an Associate's degree, or just transferred from another 4 year, these students all fall under the term "transfer students." While from many different backgrounds, cultures, and even ages, there are some things all transfer students have in common. Here are 15 signs that you may be a transfer student.

1: When people come up to you and say, “Oh, I haven’t seen you before! Are you a freshman???”

2: When you have issues with your classes transferring over.

3: When your new school requires a class you haven’t taken, but it’s a freshman level class.

4: But you're still technically a newbie and feel lost.

5: When the people you hangout with end up being freshmen anyway.

“Did they really just put hot sauce in their drink?” "Yes, I'm hanging out with the loud kids." *5 seconds later* "I don't know them."

6: When all the other students in your major have been friends since freshmen year.

7: When you make friends who aren’t freshmen, chances are they aren’t in your major.

“All of your friends are in a different major? How did you become friends?”

8: When you're a senior in your household (or sorority/fraternity), but still are an intent (and the other intents are freshmen).

9: When you still consider your old school “your school” and visit whenever you’re home on breaks.

You're basically a legend.

10: Whenever you meet someone who knows/went to your old school. Or if you came from community college/was in Phi Theta Kappa and meet a fellow Kappan.

11: When you were the smart kid at your old school, and the change in class difficulties and/or lifestyle hurts your grades...

12: And again... “So, you’re like a freshman then?”

13: You: “I’m a junior transfer!” Person: "Wait, are you a junior by credit? Or by year?"

14: When all of a sudden you’re a senior.

Where did the time go? It feels just like yesterday I was 15 and taking classes at my community college!

:

You start out all pumped:

But then...it hits you:

This thought might cross your mind...

It doesn't help that your course load is full and...

15: Just to graduate on time you have to take 6 classes each semester.

16: But you love your new school all the same!

Come graduation day you have mixed feelings just like all the rest of your class...

What are some things you think/feel or always get asked?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
