Loving, cuddlesome, intellectual, zesty, mysterious: When you hear these attributes, don't you wonder Who is this? I must know them! I must spend time with them in some lofty café somewhere, where the air is cool and the music...jazzy? So why is it then that so many people out there are hatin' on these cool cats? Some say it's their "pesky" fur, while some say it's their litter box or their ability to withhold information. But to that I simply say, too bad! Cats really are magical, and I can say from experience that you should absolutely have at least one in your life.

Skeptical? Don't be. Here's why:

1.They always listen.

Whether you are aware of it or not, they always have an ear open to you and they are carefully considering your words. That's a phenomenal quality to have in a friend.

2.They give you real advice.

School? Love life? Energy level? These felines know just how to help you with sudden apparitional gifts. Often found in their paws, on their head or on their back.

3.They take care of business.

Okay, so they may not exactly be able to write your paper since they have paws, but they most certainly will inspire you to start!

4.They're trendy.

With their confidence in their abilities and chic style, these pussycats have a highly developed prowess in the world of fashion today. Check out all those street style photographs of the cats walking in the biggest cities from L.A. to Tokyo! And it can't hurt to have hipsters in your inner circle.

5. Rat control.

You don't want the rats; they don't want the trouble.

6.They won't interrupt your "quiet time."

Who doesn't enjoy a good cat nap? Cats sure do.

7.They bring out the weirdness in you.

Don't deny it; the cat won't.

8.They know who your real friends are.

Because they know you don't know any better.

9.They are a free home security system.

Some people call cats lazy, but you don't know what they do when you're not home.

10. They make the best out of every situation.

Got an empty box? Not anymore!

11.They don't do crazy diets.

They eat REAL FOOD. You don't like tuna? Put it in the bowl! And if you bought too much Yoplait this week? They'll take it!

12. They come to you in emergency situations.

Oh, like you've never seen this before ...

13. They're clinically proven to relieve stress.

You don't like popping balloons? Yeah right, no way. But psychological studies have proven this, I swear to God.

14. They're just like everybody else.

Everyone's been there ... even your cat.

15.They have lazy days too.

What, it's Sunday?

16.They won't ever bullsh*t you.

The most critical reason to befriend a cat is that cats are honest, and although they are outspoken sometimes, yes, they really just want what's best for you and everyone else. They may seem "mysterious," but that's only because humans have complicated their persona with unknown intentions, laziness and funky smells. But hey, you'd smell a little funky if you didn't shave either!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
