15 Reasons You're Still a Kid Inside

You know you do it. You catch yourself on the daily saying or doing something that makes you think “I am literally a five-year-old trapped in a semi-adult's body." Or you catch yourself telling your friends that they are five years old inside (in which case you're probably a small child too because otherwise why would you be hanging with a five year old?).

1. You never got over any of the classic Disney movies: Mulan, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, you name it. You're forever emotionally attached.

2. You even fell in love Disney movies that came out in your teenage years: Princess and the Frog, Tangled, Frozen, Big Hero Six?? You know.

3. You quote Spongebob more than the average Spongebob-watching child: For example, every time you see chocolate… “CHOCOLATE!!! CHOCOLATE!!! CHOCOLATE!!!" Or another example: “Is mayonnaise an instrument??"

4. You didn't trade out your love of candy stores for a love of clothing stores: Your heart simply has much greater capacity for both now. Especially candy stores; let's be real here.

5. Nothing excites you more than the idea of going to get ice cream: YoPo, Ben and Jerry's, Sweet Frog, Coldstone, I want you forever. Forever and always.

6.You still love playing dress up: Except this time it's for Halloween on Franklin or any kind of social. Who says dressing up like Superman, a Minion, or Elsa is reserved for the little ones??

7. You still trace the bricks wherever you walk: The pattern of the bricks is there for a reason, DUH. You obviously have to step accordingly, letting your foot follow each vertical brick in a straight line. You don't touch the green tiles, only the white ones as you walk down the hall. Maybe it's a childhood thing, maybe it's OCD. Either way, it's force of habit.

8. You still only want your mommy when you're sick: Being sick in college sucks. Especially because all you want is your mommy to comfort you and take you home and make you oatmeal. I know from personal experience.

9. You still cry when stuff gets taken away from you: Except when you were a kid, it was usually a toy for being bad. Now it's just points from your GPA because you're drowning in homework and impossible tests.

10. You love splashing in the puddles when it rains: Why else would you buy such adorable rainboots??

11. When it snows, you go out with all of your friends and have snowball fights, build snowmen, and go sledding for hours, laughing like a toddler: Never have I ever seen grown college kids feel more like little kids than when it snows at school and class gets cancelled<3<3<3 s'cute.

12. On the rare occasion that you hear the theme song from your favorite childhood show, you immediately start belting it, remembering every single word: Barney, The Teletubbies, Mr. Rogers, Sesame Street, you still know and love them all. And you probably still have some of your stuffed animals of their characters floating around somewhere.

13. College has made you realized how you're way more easily distracted than the average seven year-old: Except now it usually involves Odyssey articles or Facebook or Instagram. Or just food.

14. You're even clumsier than a seven year-old: Naturally, you can't count the number of times you've tripped over the bricks or slipped on the giant wad/pile/mountain of clothes and shoes on your floor.

15. You hate bedtime and you love napping: A complete oxymoron, but an important one.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
