Hessler Street Fair
Embrace your inner hippie with art vendors, live music, and poetry at the Hessler Street Fair. (June 3-4).
Indians Games
I’ll gladly tell anyone that my favorite Cleveland sports team slayed last season. Even though they didn’t quite pull off the major win, they still did great, and they’re doing great this season, too. Catch me at Progressive Field this summer (while my team is catching everything that comes at them).
Cavaliers Games
It’s pretty much always a good time in CLE to celebrate the Cavs’ success. The season’s coming to an end, but the playoff games are still rolling.
Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica
Catch a concert at my favorite music venue in Cleveland. Enjoy an intimate outdoor show no matter where you’re sitting, and enjoy the view of the river behind the stage.
Edgewater Beach
Whether you want to catch a live show (Thursdays evenings June-August) or just lounge around on the beach on a warm summer’s day, Edgewater Beach is the place for you.
Goodtime III
Take a ride on the Goodtime III while learning about the Cleveland area and soaking up the sun in The Flats.
Rock n Roll Hall of Fame
Check out some music excerpts, instruments, clothes, and other assorted items from those artists that influenced Rock n Roll the most. You won’t be disappointed.
Cleveland Flea
Check out Cleveland’s self-described “urban treasure hunt, culinary adventure, and maker center” on the second Saturday of each month.
Metroparks
Something awesome about the Cleveland area is that you’re never far from a beautiful Metroparks site. Hike; run; picnic; enjoy the outdoors.
Cleveland Public Library
The Cleveland Public Library isn’t only pretty inside and out; it also features some incredibly interesting exhibits. This summer, check out “Superman: From Cleveland to Krypton” to learn about how Clark Kent’s birth right here in Cleveland turned into an “international popularity… connection to social justice issues, and influence on the current superhero craze.” It’s safe to say that last year’s “The Wonder of Will: 400 Years of Shakespeare” exhibit greatly enhanced my life, and it may just be the nerd in me speaking, but these detailed, intriguing exhibits are worth a visit.
West Side Market
A Cleveland landmark, the West Side Market is the oldest indoor/outdoor market in the city. Whether you’re looking for meat, fruits, vegetables, baked goods, or an authentic Cleveland experience, the West Side Market has it for you.
Metroparks Zoo
Who doesn’t love animals? Protip: admission to the zoo is free on Mondays!
Museum of Art/ Great Lakes Science Center/ Museum of Natural History
Great for kids, dates, and you-time, pick a subject that interests you and visit one of the museums that Cleveland has to offer. (Admission to the Museum of Art-- excluding special exhibits-- is free. Highly recommend).
Botanical Gardens
Flowers, plants, butterflies, gardens, and more-- see them all when you swing by University Circle.
Lakefront Nature Preserve
Walk the trails, birdwatch, or just spend some time thinking about the fact that you’re happy to live near Lake Erie. The choice is yours at this tranquil, pretty area.
