15 Reasons Why My Best Friend Can Never Stop Being My Friend

We're two halves of a whole and I wouldn't be complete without you.

Just like all sets of friends, you and I "get into it". In fact, we get into it quite a lot and usually it's over something really dumb! Just over the past week we have argued over which picture to post on Instagram (because you look good from one angle and I look good from another), where we were going to eat dinner (because you didn't want pizza again and that's the only thing I was willing to eat), and who should sit in the backseat (because you get carsick in the back and I just hate sitting back there by myself), but even with all of that said, I can't imagine my life without your stubborn little butt in it.

No matter what happens or where life takes us, you can never stop being my friend and this is why:

1. You know too much.

I used to be pretty good at keeping secrets, and then I met you. Now you know every embarrassing thing that's ever happened to me and all of my weird habits. You're also the first person that I call whenever I do something that I shouldn't, whenever something good happens, whenever I hear any gossip, or whenever I have big news.

2. You strengthen my Instagram game.

I hate taking pictures by myself, but when I'm with you, it's never an option. No matter what we do, we always have plenty of cute pictures to document the occasion.

3. We can communicate without talking.

All it takes is one look and you know exactly what it means, from "stop talking, my mom doesn't know about that" to "this boy is weird, please come save me."

4. We dislike the same people, for the same reasons.

I'll just leave this one with no explanation. It is what it is.

5. It would be a hassle to give each other our stuff back.

If we ever "broke up", we'd have to sort through the clothes and other random things that we've both left behind at each other's houses and you know that I am too lazy to do that, so let's just make sure it never has to happen!

6. I would miss your family.

Because I consider myself an honorary member and I love your family like they're my own, even if your brother does like to wear shorts that are shorter than mine.

7. No one else would put up with me like you do.

Because you're just as loud, annoying, and hyper as I am. You're amused by all of my goofy ideas and you're always up for an adventure, even if it's stupid.

8. You understand my sarcasm.

Most people think I'm rude because I'm blunt and say what's on my mind, but you understand that I don't always mean it like it sounds and you don't get offended when I sarcastically make fun of you.

9. You tell me the truth, even when it hurts.

You're not afraid to tell me whenever I look bad, whenever I'm being hateful, or whenever it's time to give up on the guy who's wasting my time. You know me well enough to know that sugar coating things isn't going to help me, so thank you for being honest instead of giving me excuses to try and make me feel better.

10. You support my decisions.

Even though you're not afraid to tell me when you think I'm wrong, you still help me out whenever I decide to do something.

11. You know how to cheer me up when I'm down.

Whenever I'm in a bad mood and just want to sit at my house alone and throw a pity party, you won't let me. You usually text me "Get ready, I'm on my way to your house." and then force me into doing something random that always ends up putting a smile on my face.

12. You're my wing man.

Whether it means cancelling your plans and third wheeling when I hang out with a potential bae or walking up to a random guy and saying "hey, my friend thanks you're cute", you're always willing to help a girl out.

13. You listen when no one else will.

Because sometimes I just need to whine about something that barely even matters and you're the only one who will listen without judging and give me advice on what to do about it.

14. You go out of your way to make me happy.

You make random trips to visit me in college, you comment on all of my pictures, you send me cute texts, buy me food, and surprise me with stuff all the time. You're basically like a sweet boyfriend, but better because I don't have to try to impress you.

15. You've seen me at my worst and you still love me.

You've seen me covered in cow poop (after that time we went muddin' by ourselves), red faced and crying over a stupid boy, sweaty and gross after a day in the sun, and sicker than a dog, but never once have you stopped loving me.

Thank you for everything that you do for me, bestie. Sometimes I think that I don't deserve a friend as good as you, but I sure am thankful that I have you.

I love you and I'm never letting you go.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.
