Last week, pitchers and catchers reported for spring training and that means we are even closer to the opening day of baseball. Baseball is one of my favorite sports to watch and I cannot wait until the first pitch of the season is thrown. Here is why I love baseball so much.

1. It means the weather is getting warmer.

Baseball is a spring and summer sport that is played outdoors, so once baseball season starts you know warm weather is coming.

2. The baseball pants

Enough said.

3. The food

The vendors always have the best food. Everything tastes better when you're sitting at a baseball game.

4. The actual game itself

So much can happen during a baseball game. It's very entertaining to me and I love sitting outside, watching my favorite team play. Go Tigers!

5. Relaxing

Sitting at a game, eating food, and soaking up the sun is so relaxing.

6. Sunflower Seeds

These are essential when you're at a baseball game and they are so delicious!

7. Fireworks

You don't have to wait until the Fourth of July to see fireworks because there are normally some after baseball games.

8. Family time

I love going to games with my family because they are just as invested in the game as I am.

9. Jerseys

I love to show off my various baseball jerseys. I have about six t-shirt jerseys and I wear them each proudly.

10. The Home Run Derby

During the All-Star Break, there is a home run hitting contest between two teams of MLB players. It is very entertaining and fun to watch how hard these power hitters can hit a baseball.

11. Perfect Games

If you're lucky, you can witness a pitcher throw a perfect game. A perfect game is when no one from the opposing team reaches base. It's such an accomplishment for a pitcher, no matter what team they are from.

12. The views

Nothing more prettier than a clean, freshly painted and watered baseball diamond.

13. All the jokes

Baseball players do some funny stuff on the bench and on base to the other players. It is so funny watching them act like children sometimes.

14. This picture

Baseball season reminds me of this picture of myself and my favorite baseball player, J.D. Martinez.

15. Rooting on your favorite team

I love my Detroit Tigers and am proud of my excessive knowledge about them. Go Tigers!!!!!
