Costco is that one store that is in a HUGE warehouse where parents probably lose their children every single time they step foot past the entrance, after feeling like the VIP when they show their membership card of course. As a kid, my dad would take me to Costco almost every weekend. That was when I realized I would rather take a family trip to Costco than Disneyland any day of the year. Sure any normal child would want to go to Disneyland over Costco, but Costco has so many reasons as to why it's more affordable and better yet, it doesn't put as big as a dent in a wallet like Disneyland does. Being almost 20 years old, I can still say I make trips to Costco with my dad and still have a smile from ear to ear as soon as I make my way through the doors and past the person who checks each person's membership card, otherwise known as one's ticket to Disneyland.
Here are 15 Reasons as to why Costco is everyone's favorite place to shop:

Now, what store beats Costco's prices?! You can fill up three carts full of items and be satisfied with how much the total comes out to be! Sure the price may seem like a lot, but for the amount of food you have just purchased, it is safe to say that no one will be starving in that household of yours for quite awhile! Not only that, but you are basically getting double the item at Costco than at a regular grocery market for a cheaper price! Should we even begin to talk about the prices at Disneyland?? One word: Rip-off.
3. Bulk.
Costco manages to supply all their items to their customers in bulk. That means that any item can basically be enough product for one family! Whether it is toilet paper or chips, the size of each item is doubled than what you would find at a simple store like Target and lasts twice as long! Now at Disneyland, you pay a crazy amount for an item that is only able to satisfy one individual.
4. Liquor.
Fun fact: Did you know that you do not need a Costco membership card to purchase liquor? Well, now you do! Costco has the best deals on liquor that you can imagine! A 24 pack of beer for nearly 15$?? Great buy for college students that are over 21 years old! At Disneyland, an 8 oz glass of beer probably costs triple the amount of a bottle of liquor from Costco.
5. Electronics.
Walking into the electronics section of Costco is basically like walking into a Best Buy or any other electronic store yet the prices are so much more reasonable. And don't forget about that return policy! From cameras, laptops, printers, speakers, to gigantic TV's, Costco has it. See, now Disneyland isn't going to have an aisle of televisions lined up for their guests to watch while waiting in line to ride a ride, now are they? Yeah, no.
6. Food court.
Who can forget about the Costco food court? The cheapest, yet most delicious food you will ever purchase is right inside of Costco near the cash registers and exit. The cheesy pizza that is the size of someone's face or the yummy hot dogs that are only $1.50, you cannot go wrong with grabbing a bite to eat there! Do you think you'll find a hot dog anywhere inside of the Disney amusement park for that price!? Never in a million years. Lowest price you'll find is probably close to $6.
7. You feel like a VIP when walking in.
Holding that membership card of yours and flashing it to the employee that greets everyone is a powerful feeling isn't it? You have the power to now shop at the best store around when others who don't have a card can't. Now that's a superior feeling, isn't it? Sure Disneyland has the same type of idea for entering the park, but that one-day pass only works one time, Costco's membership card can last a lifetime. It can be used multiple times in the same day without an extra charge, unlike Disneyland.
8. Return Policy.
Have you ever heard of a store that will take back absolutely ANY item purchased there no matter how defective it was or wasn't to your liking? Well, Costco has the best return policy around and even after that 90-day return policy, they still gladly take items back! I would much rather have the opportunity to be able to return an item than go to Disneyland and take a picture with Mickey Mouse. Ultimately, that will turn out to be the only memory someone has of wasting a crazy amount of money due to a ride closing or something happening that cannot be refunded.
9. Photography Center.
Printing memorable pictures becomes so easy when it comes to bringing them to Costco to be printed! With immediate help from behind the counter, Costco employees are there to guide you through the photo printing steps and have your pictures ready within an hour! If you want to spend more than $30 on ONE picture from a ride that has strangers included in the photo, go to Disneyland.
10. Optical Center.
Ok, now what kind of store has an optometrist inside of it as well?! Whether you need an eye exam, help picking out glasses or just questions about vision, Costco is the place to go! One thing Disneyland doesn't have!
11. Pharmacy.
Did you think Costco would have a pharmacy inside of it, too?! Ha, well they do. What better way to shop for food and what not and be able to pick up your prescriptions in the same store, all at once? Once again, Disneyland doesn't have that!
12. Gas.
Yup, no need for much discussion. Costco has a gas station as well. Can't make it home from shopping the day away at Costco? Don't you worry, the gas station is right outside of the entrance! Don't think there is such thing as “Disney Gas."
13. Car service.
Well if Costco has a gas station, they must have a car service location as well, right?! Yup, they do! Dead battery, worn out tires or time for your car to be serviced? Costco can help you out with all your car's needs no matter what day or what time! We all know Disneyland can't help you out with this one.
14. Costco carries it, you name it!
With the variety of items that Costco has, you can find anything you are looking for. Each season, Costco supplies all the necessary needs a family is looking for! Food for the family, cosmetics, toiletries, pool toys, camping gear, house supplies, and even clothes. You already know Costco will have it! Ok, I think I should stop comparing Costco to Disneyland because Costco obviously takes the spotlight.
15. One can ultimately survive by living in Costco.

Although Costco doesn't have Disney characters walking around and greeting the visitors, all kinds of rides, a castle or any type of parade, Costco still has its reasons as to why it's well known. Can't afford to take your family on a day trip to the happiest place in the world?! Tell them how Costco is just like Disneyland and can also be the happiest place in the world, at a better price!
