15 Odd Habits You Pick Up In College

You used to care what you looked like in high school, you used to wake up at 6 A.M. to look good for school, you used to rewrite your note so they were neat; yeah, all of those old habits change when you get to college. The difference is nobody cares what you do here and they are so concerned with their own life and future the last thing on their mind is judging you. When you move away from home you miss what you used to have, and miss the little things. For instance a bath tub, your OWN laundry room, home cooked meals, but when you move you adjust in some weird ways and pick up some odd habits along the way.

1. You take unnecessary long showers and sit in the shower while you try to clear your head.

2. You use pens 24/7 mechanical pencils used to be cool. But pens make taking notes in class so much easier even though half the time your having to take notes so fast you can't read your own handwriting.

3. You literally don't care what you look like on a daily basis. Sweats and a t shirt, re-wear what you wore two days ago, or you don't feel like taking a shower so it's a hat day for you.

4. You learn how to use a $1 can opener.

5. You find out if your really a 8 a.m. class person or more or 1 p.m. class person.

6. You learn to love canned food unless you want to walk all the way to the cafeteria.

7. You can't go a weekend without watching Netflix or catching up on your favorite series. (Sometimes finishing a series in a day)

8. Amazon is your best-friend.

9. You get an obsession with going to Mexican on a regular.

10. When your stressed the pizza man is the first person you call.

11. You take 15 minute naps whenever possible, you might nap three times a day.. Schools exhausting..

12. You used to think having one cup of coffee was bad for you well now you wake up with two cups and usually stop by Starbucks in between classes.

13. You don't get on social media as much as you used too. And if you do most of the time you are just on there to post something or you actually have nothing to do.

14. You learn you like to read because if you don't read your going to fail your assignments.

15. Agendas in high school? Yeah I just had one because it was on the school supplies list. In college your agenda is your best-friend. Everyday you check it at least three times.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
