15 Lavish Ways To Pamper Yourself Before Going Out

One cannot disagree that spending an early evening glamming yourself up for a night out is one of the most therapeutic and luxurious things to do, especially after enduring a long week of school and work. As French music is playing, creating a serene and carefree atmosphere, you are in your comfiest robe, lathering soft cream on your arms and legs. Every girl I think would agree with me that getting ready to go out is sometimes, if not more, more enjoyable that going out. A girl is at her true essence when moisturizing her skin and powdering her cheeks, while laughing with her friends, who sit on her bed, awaiting their beauty treatment. It’s a social event, that men do not understand. In order to have the most ideal and perfect night out, you have to have a perfect getting ready atmosphere, because the vibe that you create when you’re getting ready will be your vibe when going out. To get the perfect ambiance for your getting ready party, I have a few tips and essentials that you might want to take into consideration. I happen to be the queen of all things face masks and creams, and because of that I have a large collection, that of which I can show you a sneak peek of. My sneak peek consists of health products that will improve your skin before you make yourself glamorous with makeup!

1) Let’s start off with the bath products. Whether you take a bath or shower, you need a shampoo and conditioner that leaves your hair silky but voluminous! I am currently obsessed with the john masters organics products. This lavender and avocado intensive conditioner (literally has everything nourishing for you in one bottle) leaves your hair hydrated and restored back to its natural glow. After shampooing with tresseme, I will leave this in my hair for about 5 minutes to let it really sink in and enrich my scalp.

2) I’m all about anything hair repair, so after conditioning I have lately been washing my hair with Sachajjan Professional Haircare (can be found at Anthropologie). It may be in a small bottle, but its effects are drastic and leaves my hair so soft, I feel like I could be in a hair commercial.

3) The location where you have your getting ready party is very important. It doesn’t need to be an over the top spot, but a more everyday place you spend your time, where you are at most ease. In my case, that would be my room. Look for the best source of natural light and a big space where you can lay all your make out. My room is my oasis, and I have decorated it according to what makes me happy and the vibes that I want to get when in my room.

4) One you have your location get situated.

5) To create a sweet ambiance light a few candles and spray some room fragrance. I have lately been using Thymes Goldleaf Home Fragrance Mist. Once I spray the fragrance mist in my room I feel as if I have been transported to a hidden spot in nature. The light aroma of chill water and warm leaves breezes across my skin.

6) Let’s start with an enriching face mask. This Abellie facial mask consists of lavender and honey, which leaves your skin glowing and soft!

7) Eye cream is very important; I feel like people don’t realize how essential it is to make you look 100%. This john masters organic firming eye gel lifts the skin around your eye, while hydrating and pumping it up. It tightens loose skin around your eye, with a glowing result.

8) I’ve always been very picking about getting rid of my black heads and dirty pores. There is no better way to do that than with these deep cleansing pore strips. I usually leave it on my nose for about 20 minutes. Once I remove it, I rub a cotton ball with a cleansing toner on it all over my face to remove and excess of dirt.

9) After that rub all over your face the Olay: Total Effects. I have never had a cream that makes my skin so soft. I literally live off this cream.

10) After applying the Olay crème to my face, I rub the Goldleaf Hand Lotion on my hands and arms. The smell of this hand lotion relaxes you and puts you in an excited and pumped mood!

11) Let them eat cake! Have snacks throughout your getting ready party! It can lead to some great photo ops! (You know me)

12) Every girl wants to have glowing skin. This is the way to get that! The Estee Lauder Even Skintone Illuminator is my best friend. It highlights your skin, while blurring away any red splotches and uneven skin coloring.

13) To finish off this skin health pre-makeup routine, spray Jeffery James Botanicals The Toner Mist on your face.

14) And then I always like to spray a body mist on me. I have always used the Moonlight Path fragrance mist, which you can find at Bath and Body Works.

I hope you have a few more ideas on how to spic up your getting ready party before you begin the glamming! It’s always so important to take good care of your skin before you apply makeup. It will make your finished look beyond perfect! Have fun! Drink lemonade, eat a pettirfor, and enjoy pampering yourself, because YOU deserve it!

15) "My secret one" P.S Putting cucumbers on your face while you have a dead sea minerals anti-stress mask on your face, refreshes your eyes and just looks cool. Plus you can eat them! It's a win-win situation!

XOXO

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
