The first week of my freshman year, these were the guys I first met. Like the 15 girls you will meet in college, they all have the same intention as any college student — to graduate — but they have different ways of getting to that goal. Through their journey, make sure you grab a pen and notebook to take notes, because you can learn so much of from each gentlemen.
1. JFK
This guy is the Jack of All Trades. If he is not the president of multiple organizations, he is the student body's president. He is super ambitious, well groomed and most liked guy in the school. He is a steadfast human being and will rise to the top with or without you. Unfortunately, he is perceived as not having emotions, when in fact, he embraces all feelings.
2. Frat Bro
He is easy to pick out the crowd; if he is not wearing his letters, he's with his frat brothers being vulgar as ever. He belongs to a tight-knit group and won't let any guy into his chapter house without paying a fee unless he knows him personally. He goes to the gym just to invite girls to the chapter house. His motto is: "Everyday is a party." Loud and obnoxious, this guy has no control.
3. G.I. Joe
This gentleman decided to join the military right after high school. He will probably be older than you and is signed up for ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps). He is a very quiet guy until around friends, and he is built like a brick house. Maintains his high and tight.
4. The Guy Who Has GF, But Doesn't Admit To It
An inspiring ladies man who has been in a committed relationship since sophomore year of high school. If you check his Instagram, you will find pictures of him and his beau. He cares about her but wants the college experience. He's hard to find, but be cautious because he does not want anything serious. You might break your neck when you see the girl on his Instagram is visiting for the weekend, chances are it is his high school sweetheart.
5. The Beer God
Seems to be the coolest dude in the school. Even though he's 18 he looks 21 and has a fake ID. If he's not passed out in a bush you can find him at his best pal's place doing a keg stand. Nicknamed "The Blackout Menace" for his bad habit of getting aggressively intoxicated causing total mayhem and never remembering a thing.
6. The Exhaust Pipe
You can hear him coming a mile away because of his upgraded exhaust pipe. His parents bought his first car and he has taken it upon himself to personalize his ride. Lowered suspension, wide rims, tinted windows, and a subwoofer. His Instagram is full of pictures of his car, and his cover photo on Facebook is his car, shocker. He's always telling the story of how a police officer pulled him over just to talk about his car. At the end of the day, this kid needs to realize his car only has a V6 engine.
7. Mr. Blaze It
He smells like weed and is always at the smoking hut blazing it away. He's the type of guy to post annoying Snapchats of himself hitting the bong or rolling the blunt. When on campus he makes big foggy clouds with his vape. Master of all smoke tricks. Considers April 20th to be his favorite holiday.
8. The Try-Hard
The super nice guy. He is easy going and looking to please everyone. Most likely a social butterfly who just wants to be accepted and have as many friends as possible. On Friday night expect a text from him asking where the parties are. If you are ever in a bind he will help you out in hopes of inviting him out or finding a girl for him to talk to.
9. The Gain Train
This guy has as many muscle supplements as your local GNC. He goes to the gym like he drinks water. If you ever see him in the gym, he's doing some intense workout on the pull-up bar. He is the guy that cuts up his own shirts just to show off his muscles and takes selfies of himself at the gym. He is not your average gym head, unlike most, he does not need a spotter when bench pressing. If you ever need a pre-workout mix get it from him.
10. The Mattress
Also known as the "Netflix and chill" enthusiast, he is the natural born ladies man whose methods are questionable. Every time you see this kid there is a girl wrapped around him. If you're a lady be prepared to receive the "wanna chill?" text around midnight. He has a high tendency of posting a Snapchat on his story asking if anyone wants to hang out. Beware of this guy; you might catch more than feelings.
11. The Underdog
He started off his freshman year with a 1.34 GPA and is doing everything in his power to become number one. He is most likely the first generation of his family to attend college. He may be down on his luck, but do not count him out. He is full of potential and just needs someone to give him a ray of hope. By the time graduation rolls around, he is being recognized for honors and has a job right after college. He is the definition of perseverance.
12. Money Bags
From afar he just looks well dressed and nice. However, when you get to know him, he flaunts his status. He aims to be the next Donald Trump. He drives a C-Class Mercedes and as soon as he parks it, he covers it up. Since money is unlimited, he has no problem spending $45 on a long-sleeved T-shirt. His closet is full of Vineyard Vines, pastel button-downs, colored pants and Raging Mammoth T-shirts.
13. Mangina
He may have facial hair, but you're convinced he is a girl. He is overly sensitive and will do anything in his power to be the center of attention. Complains about everything. You can find him on Twitter raving about the Kardashians and retweeting the newest celebrity beef. He is friends with mostly girls because they can always feed his need for emotional antics.
14. Southern Comfort
He will win you over with his southern charm. He started the school year with long hair ripped T-shirts, by the end of second semester you will find this guy changing the campus one step at a time in his cargo shorts and nice polo. He's a true sweetie and loves to have a good time. Somehow he looks good with long hair and short hair.
15. McDreamy
Tall, incredibly handsome, and has a set of pretty eyes. He is the package deal. Sadly, he has a reputation for arrogance. Overall, he is a grade-A boy and is not your average Joe. He comes from a established family, his life is on the path to success, and he is in college with a full ride.
