2007, a year of low-rise style and the bigger the sequin the better. Celebrities like Paris Hilton, Brittany Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Avril Lavine, Kim K, and more were fashion icons during the late 2000's. And with all the celeb hype these fashion fads became everyday articles of clothing for the average joe. So let's reflect on how fashion has greatly changed, and some have stayed over the past 10 years.

1. Low rise jeans

And don’t forgot the whale tail, shout out to Degrassi TGN for making this popular.

2. Crocs

I had a pair in purple, and then I realized I looked like a fool.

3. The Tattoo Choker

I actually own this exact choker now. Still iconic, and still thriving. Great job choker.

4. Ballet Flats

Practical, but the bows...

5. Velour Track Suits

Still trying to make a comeback, and yet they are not making it. Sorry Kim K and Paris.

6. Sequins, Lots of Sequins

If you didn't have this iconic purse, did you even really experience the 2000's. I had a silver one, and multi-colored one too. Too much swag for one purse.

7. Winter Boots and Shorts

Throw on a pair of UGG boots, and some shorts and you were good to go. But during those chilly days, throw on a pair of tights or leggings.

8. Clear Bra Straps

Nothing says comfort like a piece of plastic digging into your shoulder blades. But hey it's the support you need, without being a real strapless bra.

9. Fade Sunglasses

Too much swag Mariah, too much.

10. PINK everything

Sweatsuits, jackets, yoga pants, and of course the little dogs.

11. Small dogs as accessories

Why have a bracelet, when you could carry a tiny dog.

12. Little Vests

What was the actual purpose of this?

13. Rolled shorts until they weren’t even considerably shorts

3 or more rolls was a necessity.

14. Popped collars, Whats better than one popped collar, two, or even three!

Pop them collars boi.

15. Big ole belts

The bigger, the better.

We can all agree to disagree that we should leave some of these iconic trends in the past. 10 years of fashion and man have things changed. From High waisted everything, reflective glasses being popular today, crop tops, and chokers are still present in today's fashion. Lets see what the next 10 years of fashion have for us.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
