Carrie Bradshaw. She taught girls everywhere to embrace their wild, curly hair, to always kiss & tell (at least to your three best friends) and to most importantly, laugh loudly and love hard. We’ve all had many good laughs and a few cries with Carrie and the girls, but somehow through the one-night stands, multiple Big breakups and friend brunches, we found someone we could relate to. Whether it be about relationships, clothes, friendships or life in general, Carrie had the answers to it all, and if she didn't, she asked the questions herself.
"When it comes to life and love, why do we believe our worst reviews?"
"Maybe you have to let go of who you were to become who you will be."
"After all, computers crash, people die, relationships fall apart. The best we can do is breath and reboot."
"In a relationship, when does the art of compromise become compromising?"
"If you are single there is always one thing you should take out with you on a Saturday night... your friends."
"Miranda was a huge fan of the Yankees. I was a huge fan of being anywhere you could smoke and drink at two in the afternoon without judgment."
"Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate."
"Sometimes we need to stop analyzing the past, stop planning the future, stop figuring out precisely how we feel, stop deciding exactly what we want, and just see what happens."
"Shall we get more coffee or shall we get guns and kill ourselves?"
"The most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you find someone to love the you that you love, well, that’s just fabulous."
"Maybe our girlfriends are our soul mates & guys are just people to have fun with."
"Can you ever really forgive if you can’t forget?"
"I do not pick the wrong guys. They pick me."
"Maybe some women aren’t meant to be tamed. Maybe they need to run free until they find someone just as wild to run with."
"Dreams change. Trends come and go, but friendships never go out of style."
So a big shoutout to Carrie for reading our minds and reminding us that we aren't the first (or last) to have these same thoughts. We will always love you, Carrie.
