It's that time of year again. Back to school season. And you know what comes with the back to school season? Autumn. Now, I don't know about you, but autumn is pretty much my favorite time of the year and you're kidding yourself if you say it isn't yours as well. The magical time of year between September and December always gives me this warm and fuzzy feeling inside and I can already start to smell it in the air. (That might sound weird, but I swear I have a superpower for this thing.) Basically, I just wish that we could skip winter and have a long, extended autumn season until it gradually transitions into spring. Actually, screw that. I just want autumn all year round. But since that isn't really a possibility, I look forward to these things that are all the more cozy and all things great during the autumn season.
PS: "Autumn" sounds so much nicer than "fall" and don't you dare deny it.
1. Sweaters
I don't care if it's still 90 degrees. On September 1st, I'm hitting the streets in my coziest sweater.
2. Cozy blankets
My favorite is my red plaid one because it just screams autumn to me. But you can also cuddle up in fifteen of them while putting on your favorite movies.
3. Coffee/Tea
Something about autumn just makes warm beverages all the more cozy, doesn't it?
4. Dark red lipstick
I basically wear my dark red lipstick every day in autumn. It just feels like the right thing to do.
5. Halloween
I'm not explaining this one.
6. Candles
While most people might reach for the pumpkin candles, I personally love the apple and snickerdoodle scented candles. But whatever tickles your pickle.
7. Baking
I love baking, but the only time I really do it is in autumn because all the treats are so much better. Plus, you've gotta get ready for hibernation when winter comes around.
8. Music

9. Color palette
Burnt oranges, yellows, reds, and browns are honestly the best color palette in the world. They're so cozy.
10. Pumpkin patches and apple orchards
Can I just say...apple cider donuts? And apple cider?
11. Flannels
They just add to the coziness factor. The best way to wear them? Layered underneath a cozy autumn sweater.
12. Crunchy leaves
I will literally go out of my way just to step on a crunchy leaf.
13. Pumpkin everything
Stop lying to yourself, you know you love that pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks.
14. The smell of rain
I don't know why, but there's something so much cozier about rain in autumn than in the spring or summer.
15. Fires
While I enjoy a nice bonfire, I also love having an indoor fireplace that you can light up while curled in a flannel, sweater, and blanket with a hot cup of coffee while watching Hocus Pocus.
TL;DR: Basically, I just summed up that the entirety of autumn is one big cozy fest.
