It's finally Halloweek here at USC and I could not be more excited! Not only is it the week of Halloween, it's also my birth week. With my birthday being two days after Halloween, it's easily one of my favorite holidays.

I enjoy seeing the costumes that everyone decides on wearing but I hate seeing the same costumes year after year. I'm even guilty of being a basic black cat.

Here are basic costumes I hope not to see this week:

1. Aliens

The combination of iridescent leggings, tutus, glitter and space buns is so 2000 late.

2. Witches

This is the costume for all the basic witches in the world.

3. Cats

Simple but played out.

4. Angels

Falling from the sky? More like falling from the land of basic costumes.

5. Devils

They should make unoriginality the eight deadly sin.

6. Officers

You don't have the right to remain basic.

7. Victoria Secret Angels

Many girls dream of walking in the Victoria Secret fashion show but down the streets of Five Points is not a good start.

8. Playboy Bunnies

Bunnies are cute and adorable, this costume, on the other hand, is becoming too mainstream.

9. Military Girls

Good thing camouflage makes you invisible.

10. Netflix & Chill

It was cute and original when the first group thought of it, now its been played out like the phrase.

11. Vampires

These costumes suck, literally.

12. Referees

Being this basic should be a flag on the play,

13. School Girls

Dressed up as a sexy school girl? Oops, you did it again.

14. Mermaids

H2Oh no!

15. "Purge" Masks

This is not a test. This is your emergency broadcast system announcing the commencement of the week of Basic Halloween costumes in Five Points.

Happy Halloween, USC!!!

It's the end of an era. Originally formed in 2004 by friends in Las Vegas, Panic! At The Disco is no more.

To Mom

There are days when you just need your mom

To Mom

There really is no way to prepare yourself for the loss of someone. Imagine that someone being the one who carried you for 9th months in their belly, taught you how to walk, fought with you about little things that only a mother and daughter relationship could understand. You can have a countless number of father figures in your life, but really as my mom always said, " you only get one mom."

The Way People In Society are Dating is Why I Don't Date

I need someone to show that they want me for me, not that they're using me to chase the idea of being in a relationship.

The Way People In Society are Dating is Why I Don't Date

You hear your phone go off. He's asking you to hang out. Then, of course, you get the advice of your friends to decipher this text. Is it just hanging out or is it more than hanging out? You've probably done this at least once in your life or at least seen a tweet where someone posted their screenshots with a potential love interest.

Winter Break As Told By 'Friends'

Is a month at home too much to handle?

If you're anything like me, winter break is a much-needed light at the end of the tunnel after a long, stressful semester. Working hard for 15 weeks can really take a toll on a person mentally, physically AND emotionally. It's a nice change of pace to be back at home with your family and friends, but after a couple weeks, it can get, well... boring.
