In This Article:

Love is the air and Valentine's Day is right around the corner, which means a ton of people are about to be going on dates to restaurants.

That's fun and always a nice way to get away from the busy reality of life, but it can get a little boring. Plus the restaurants are always super packed and unless you have a reservation, you will have to be waiting in line for a while and no one wants to do that.

So what else is there to do then if you want to change things up with Valentine's Day? Look no further because i have got you covered! Here are 14 Valentine's Day date ideas to go on instead of just going out to eat.

1. Horseback ridding

If you and your significant other love horses then this is a great option because it can allow you guys to do something you both enjoy and it can be very relaxing.

Even if you have never ridden a horse, this can be a fun thing to learn and it is sure to be romantic, especially if you do a ride with just the two of you (plus the instructor).

Simply just look up to see if there is a horse back ridding place near you!

2. Movie outside

For this all you need is a little projector and a screen to put outside (plus some good weather).

Just pop a movie onto the screen and you guys can eat a cooked meal from home or a take out meal and enjoy a movie in your backyard!

Plus if you want to add an extra romantic factor, put some string lights all around!

3. Cooking together at home

Whether you and your significant other are good at cooking doesn't really matter!

If you both could use some help honing your cooking skills, just try out a simple recipe together! This should be fun and worse comes to worse you burn the food and order take out!

Or if you guys both have some pretty good cooking skills (or even just one of you) then try and make your favorite meal together!

Plus you can watch a movie and cuddle on the couch while it bakes!

4. Museum date

If you live decently close to a museum this is a great option, even if you aren't the biggest museum fans, since museums usually have special events for occasions like Valentine's Day.

It is an excuse to get dressed up and go look at some interesting things, so defiantly consider this option!

5. Day trip

Valentine's Day is a great excuse to just get away because sometimes you just really need a break for it all.

So if you and your partner have been dreaming of going somewhere for a road trip just do it! Pack your bags and maybe one for your significant other too and just surprise them!

This can be such a fun time and create some grate memories. You don't even have to go somewhere expensive! Just pick somewhere that looks cool and go explore! Or if you are unsure of where to go, literally just throw a dart on an area in your state or in the surrounding states and go where it lands!

6. Paint each other

For this you just need to have 2 canvases facing away from each other, one with you behind it and another with your partner. It should be set up so you guys can see one another but not each others paintings.

Grab some paint and some wine and just paint each other! You don't have to be a world class artist to do this as it can just be for fun!

This is sure to be a fun date, plus you will have 2 new pieces of art to frame!

7. Go on a hike

If you and your significant other enjoy the outdoors and being active this can be a nice date!

All you need to do is pick a spot close by and grab your workout shoes and you are ready to go! This can be such a relaxing day for the two of you together and it will allow you guys to have some nice alone time, plus an adventure.

8. Go to a concert

If there is a concert near by this is a great date!

Just get the tickets and surprise your partner. It should be a fun and relaxed night for both of you to just listen to some music!

9. Zoo day

If you and your partner love animals then go to the zoo!

A walk around the zoo can be a great memory and you are both sure to have a blast. You can make the most out of your day there too, as you can eat lunch and take your time looking at all of the exhibits if you plan your time out right.

However, since it is February and it is extremely cold some places, make sure that your local zoo is open and that you will get to see the animals! If not, the aquarium is another great indoor option.

10. Bowling

Bowling is a relaxing activity that is great for couples or groups to do!

So if you know that this is something you and your partner would be into, then give it a shot!

11. Skiing

Skiing is a adventurous and fun option for couples but of course not everyone is close to a ski resort.

If you are though, I highly recommend that you rent some skis for the day and hit the slopes because this can be a lot of fun!

If you or your partner are not experienced skiers though, this can also just be a great day to teach them, just be careful!

12. Picnic under the stars

Who said that Valentine's Day dates had to be expensive?

Just pack a cheese platter, some wine if your of age, an easy to transport meal, and some dessert! Then take it all to a cute area outside and fill your tummies while you look at the stars. This is sure to be romantic and a night neither of you will forget!

13. Ice skating

14. Spa day

Life can be exhausting, so a spa day is always a good idea! Plus it is more fun when you bring your significant other along!

The two of you can unwind and relax with a nice spa day. This is sure to be some personal time together that will leave you both feeling good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
