" Grey's Anatomy" is not only one of the best shows on TV, but it is also a means of guiding people through life. I realize that this statement may sound slightly exaggerated, but the show has truly proven to be an inspiration to many. Whether it has inspired you to bring out your inner doctor (push one of epi), or to simply be your best self, the show, as a result, has acquired a very dedicated fan base (myself included).
1. Even when times get hard, you have to keep pushing forward.
2. The epic and tragic Lexie Grey and Mark Sloan relationship taught us that sometimes you don't want to care about someone anymore, but that's not always possible to do.
3. Listen to the callous Christina Yang and don't change who you are for someone, and definitely do not chase them if they leave.
4. If there's one thing Grey's Anatomy has taught us, it's that people could leave or die at any moment, so take the time to show them how you feel.
5. Sometimes, you have to accept the circumstances you're under, and change the way you're approaching an obstacle.
6. If Callie could convince Arizona to stop wallowing in self-pity after she lost her leg in the plane crash, then I think we can all agree that her advice is valuable.
7. It is not acceptable to stop communicating with someone for no reason and without an explanation.
8. No one can be tough all the time; sometimes you have to let others in and comfort you.
9. Even if someone makes a huge mistake, like Izzie cutting an LVAD wire, it doesn't mean that they're a bad person. Sometimes you have to forgive and forget.
10. Don't accept defeat, and eventually, everything will get better.
11. If Derek Shepard is capable of making mistakes, that means we all are.
12. Don't let others influence your opinion of yourself.
13. Even if you think you have moved on from the past, chances are you haven't yet.
14. Mark Sloan, better known as McSteamy, came up with YOLO way before Drake did. This essentially makes him the master of advice, so listen to him.
Since we love "Grey's Anatomy" so much, it is only fitting to listen to the everlasting pieces of advice scattered throughout every episode. These characters have been through so much, ranging from plane crashes to shootings, so why not listen to their wise advice?
