This week
1. Friends come and go
Your friend group is always changing. Things will happen and people will
2. It's ok if you still don't know what you want to be when you grow up
So you want to be a doctor? Lawyer?
3. Never compare yourself to others
Mentally. Physically. In any way,
4. Grades mean alot ; but there are some things that mean more
Like mental and physical health. I should of known this better when I would be up till 2 am studying on school nights. Save your sanity, and just know that your health, rest, and social life are worth more in the long run, than just a number on a piece of paper.
5. Enjoy every moment because one never repeats
Laugh, smile, love, dance, and take in every moment as much as you can
6. Everybody deserves a chance; so never be one to judge
A person is much more than their appearances. Sometimes behind the most silent souls lies the kindest person.
7. There's no problem that a little green tea and good music can't fix
8. Be a reflection of what you'd like to recieve
Sometimes you got to step back and think to yourself that if you met the person who you were today, would you be friends with that person? Would that person treat you with kindness and respect?
9. Highschool will change you; but don't ever let it change your values
Going into
9. Your mom will always be your #1 bestfriend
No matter how much advice you'll hear, your mom's is the best.
10. There's more to being healthy than just having "the body"
This means way more than eating right and having physical activity. It took me awhile to learn this, especially since being a teenage girl in today's media influenced society, there is a pressure to have the "skinny-curvy model body". Mental health matters as much (even more possibly) than physical health does.
11. Your association is a reflection of who you are as a person
Make sure your squad is going where you want to go in life. The closest friends reflect who you are and what you stand for so make sure you chose them wisely!
12. There's so much to be thankful for everyday
13. Do what you are passionate about, no matter what anybody says
Being Indian, they say you can either be a doctor or a engineer. However, being one of those isnt the only way to be considered "successful" in society. If you follow your passion to the fullest, anything is possible. Doing what you love will pay off more in the long run on you and the world around.
14. Parks and Recreation is a show I can relate to on a spiritual level
Okay but seriously though, 14 years into life and i've finally discovered my all time favorite show...
