Although Rhode Island is small, don’t count it out just yet. It is just as beautiful and touristy as any other state. And maybe I am biased because I’ve lived here my entire life but it truly is a unique state. If you have never been to Rhode Island, I highly suggest it. Here are some reasons why it is the best.
1. It is the smallest state in the United States.
You can drive from one side of the state to the other in under two hours. Any destination longer than an hour feels like a road trip.
2. People don't have to try and remember the area codes because there’s only one.

3. Because it is so small, when you go on vacation out of state, your bound to run into someone you know or someone from Rhode Island.
The odds of that happening are very high.
4. Taylor Swift owns a house in Westerly.
Let’s be honest, you’ve probably spent hours driving around trying to look for it.
5. We have some of the most beautiful beaches.
Narragansett, Jamestown, Newport, Block Island, Westerly, Misquamicut etc.
6. Downtown Newport and the Cliff Walks.
You can enjoy a scenic walk along the ocean with a view of the mansions. Downtown offers an afternoon of food, shopping and site seeing.
7. Block Island.
Between the ferry, bike and moped rentals, beautiful hideaway beaches and cute shopping stores, the island offers a unique experience.
8. Providence is one of the coolest cities.
The mall, restaurants, parks, and events such as Waterier are just some of the activities to experience.
9. Iggy’s and Brickley’s.
If you are from Rhode Island, you know what I’m talking about. You can enjoy a great dinner of clam cakes and chowder than head over to Brickley’s for the best ice cream ever.
10. Coffee milk is the official state drink.
When you order coffee milk in another state, people have a hard time understanding what you mean.
11. The Pawtucket Red Sox.
The tickets are cheap, the parking is free, and you can get souvenirs like an ice cream batting helmet on the way out.
12. Wright’s Dairy Farm.
It’s the best place to get milk, cinnamon rolls, strip pizza, and desserts.
13. Wright’s Farm.
You don’t have to wait long at this restaurant because the food comes within minutes after you have been seated. All you can eat chicken, pasta, fries, rolls, and salad.
14. Fairs and Festivals.
Newport Kite Festival, South County Hot Air Balloon Festival, Washington County Fair, Tiverton Antique Festival, Autumnfest, Wickford Art Festival etc.
