I grew up in a house full of girls and it definitely taught me a lot! There's so much more to a girl than she lets people see. Girls are completely different at home. And if you lived with a lot, you know that sometimes it can seem like you live with a pack of wolves. Anyone with at least one sister can probably relate.
1. Embarrassing your sister in front of her crush is sure to get you a beating
I've learned this the hard way. There's been many times that I said things I shouldn't have and embarrassed my sisters. I've also been embarrassed enough times to know it's not fun.
2. Didn't you know that your closet was also your sisters??
Girls like to share clothes so having a sister close in size means that your closet is a free for all!
3. Being compared to your sister is the worst
I hated when I was told that I should be more like my sister, especially when she did the same dumb things I did!
4. At school your sister either pretends you don't exist... Or you wish she didn't exist
Some people are super embarrassed for their sister to talk to them in public. There have been some girls that I've lived with that i wished wouldn't talk to me when we were at school.
5. Somehow you will know all the gossip going on in her grade... Whether you want to or not
When I was a senior, I lived with 2 freshman who talked about everyone in their grade, so I unfortunately knew everything about everyone who was a freshman. I didn't even want to know sometimes, but I knew it anyways.
6. She's never wrong and won't ever admit if she is
One of the freshman I was just talking about did not like to be wrong. Even when she knew she was wrong, she would continue to argue her point. She would argue with a wall!
7. Your stuff "mysteriously" goes missing and a few weeks later, it's "hers"
Having lived in a house full of girls, I always had stuff disappearing. Then a girl would be wearing what was missing and if confronted, she said it was hers. Man sisters are thiefs!
8. You might be scarred from years of matching your sister
I liked matching my little sister but once i was older and lived with other girls, I hated it. It was so annoying to be forced to match!
9. Expect your most embarrassing moments to be forever remembered
Any time I did something stupid or made a fool of myself, my sisters would never let me live it down. Those memories I'd like to forget are constantly brought up and sometimes at the worst time. Man sisters can be annoying.
10. She's quick to make fun of you but no one else better laugh at you
I'm constantly made fun of. Sisters are real good at that. However, they don't much care for someone else picking on you. It's only okay if they do it.
11. Give her sass and she's definitely going to sass you back
Sass equals sass, there's no avoiding that! Girls are already mouthy enough but put a bunch in a room together... And it's a "who can have the worst attitude" contest. Girls are fun!
12. Apparently you can't talk to her ex-boyfriend
Why is that a problem with girls? If they aren't dating someone anymore, they don't want you to talk to them. It's the weirdest thing!
13. During a certain time of the month, she has an excuse to get out of everything
When it's that time of the month, done girls don't want to do anything. They'll make up every excuse in the world to get out of any kind of work. They don't feel good because they're cramping, they feel sick, or they'll just say it's that time and expect that to be a good enough excuse. Doesn't work with me!
So having a sister, or living with any girl period can be pretty annoying. Girls are obnoxious and dramatic. In the end, having a sister can be pretty great too. Who else would you tell your secrets to? Who else would even listen?? Sisters aren't always great, but they're definitely worth it!
