Growing up was lonely before your little siblings came along, but when they came things changed. There was a time where you were the favorite child and you grew up with set rules and boundaries. You thought that this was going to be the case for those that were younger than you too, but you soon realized that this was not the case. Your parent’s excuse was we lived and learned with you as the oldest and that got really old really fast. Here are 13 struggles older siblings can relate to.

1. You have a whole lot of responsibility.

You have to set an example for not only your younger siblings but also the young people around you.

2. You are the guinea pig for your parents.

You are the first born so you are used to being the experiment for siblings to come.

3. You don't get what you ask for.

You will ask for something and get told "No." because your parents don't want you to be spoiled.

4. You didn't have shoes to fill.

There were no standards to meet so your parents set the bar high.

5. You grew up having playdates and then they stopped.

They used to be a weekly thing and then when your siblings came your parents had you play with them.

6. You had to choose between two activities.

You couldn't get too involved so it came down to either sports or karate.

7. School days were always longer.

Your mom worked so preschool consisted of lunch-bunch before grandmas and aftercare for elementary school.8. Quality Mom and Dad time was limited.

Both parents worked so when you were with them it limited but the best because you did whatever you wanted.

9. When the siblings arrived work mom shifted to stay at home mom.

This one speaks for itself, they had more time with mom so they are the favorite.

10. Free babysitting.

You are always on call and expected to babysit whenever your parents ask.

11. What you weren't allowed to do your siblings get to do.

You never got to go to the beach with your friends and your siblings get to go for an entire week.

12. First to get your license, last to get a car.

You have your own car? Never. You have to pay for a car if you want it, but your siblings get one handed to them.

13. It's the best.

You can't imagine your life without your younger siblings because they are what keep life interesting and fun.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
