13 Signs You're A Cheerleader
Rachel Underwood

Cheerleaders–they really are some of the sassiest and most talented people in the world. It's super easy to spot a cheerleader, even when they aren't wearing their uniform. There's just something about their personality that indicates they spend their time cheering on their favorite team every Friday night. Whether you cheered in high school and college, or if you're a cheerleader now, here's a few signs you can relate to.

1. You remember every single move from the first dance you learned at cheer camp.

Oh, you want to see my "Party Like a Rockstar" dance from freshmen year of high school? No problem. I'll never forget it.

2. You constantly walk around doing cheer motions everywhere.

Walking through Walmart, school hallways, or your Grandma's house, it doesn't matter. You're always doing motions.

3. The higher the ponytail the better.

During competition season, you'll probably go through at least three cans of hairspray.

4. You dream about your competition routine in your sleep.

Because the only dream you want to come true is hitting your routine perfectly.

5. You will make sure your opinion is always heard when someone says cheerleading is not a sport.

LET'S SEE YOU DO A DOUBLE BACKHANDSPRING TUCK OR HIT A PEFECT HEEL STRETCH.

6. Hearing the words "full out" makes you cringe every time.

Through all the busted tucks and stunts that fell, I'm still here somehow.

7. You're committed to cheerleading 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Want commitment? Cheerleading is my longest, committed relationship.

8. You are afraid of your coach and will throw any skill for them because you know the consequences if you don't.

Just let me whip out my standing tuck that I've never landed because I do not want to be yelled at. If I die, I died trying.

9. Whether it's your ankles, knees, or wrists, some parts of your body will never be the same.

I haven't tumbled in years, and my ankles still hurt me every, single day.

10. When your coach said time to condition, you knew your life was about to be over.

It was nice knowing you team.

11. The adrenaline rush you get when landing a new skill is indescribable...especially when you land it with your best friend.

And then you proceed to do the new skill every day of the week to show off (just a little).

12. You will always do everything in 8-counts.

"5, 6, 7, 8" is the real way to count.

13. At the end of the day, the blood, sweat, and tears are truly worth it for the love of the game.

So to all my fellow cheerleaders out there, we are true athletes and sass queens. Keep cheering on because the world truly needs us.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
