Best part? They eagerly jump on top of you giving you slobbery kisses without expecting anything back from you. Come on boys, we know you wouldn’t just greet us at the door like that without hinting for something more … Heck, what man even greets his woman at the door anyways?

2. They are the best shopping buddies.

Forget about asking my better half to come shopping with me tomorrow when I have an even better companion whose furry tail wags excitedly when I bring out that leash. Besides, dogs don’t complain about “running into Victoria’s Secret real quick” … I swear I needed the 7/$27.50 panties!!

3. They are always there to listen.

Because venting to a man about your life problems and emotions to only hear a crazy loud snore within five minutes of what I had “thought” was a “conversation” totally gets old. My dog never fails to make me feel fuzzy and warm inside when I’m not feeling my best self.

4. They don’t ask for much.

In fact, spoiling them with surprise toys and dog bones are the best reactions to witness – I swear they act like I have just given them a million doggy dollars.

5. They want to take part in everything with you.

From homework at the kitchen table to taking a short nap on the couch, dogs want to be with you every step of the way. They’ll lie on your lap as you type your Philosophy essay and they’ll lay their sweet head on your chest as you go down for a nap. They don’t want to miss a single beat with you.

6. Men can’t do that cute head-tilt-thing the way dogs can.

Let’s be real, that head tilt from your dog absolutely brightens your day.

7. They’re somewhat easier to clean up after (maybe with a few exceptions).

While men like to leave their work clothes, underwear, and a midnight meal lying around the premises of your bedroom, your dog isn’t quite so messy. Just some puppy waste and a couple of toys is all you really have to worry about.

8. They take the best selfies with you.

Even if your man isn't a selfie-lover ... No need to fear, your furry little friend is here (and they love watching themselves in the reflection of your cell phone)!

9. They are the greatest at cuddling.

No kicking, snoring (well maybe just a little), talking, and pushing you off the bed in their sleep ... They are truly the best cuddle buddies 24/7, 365.

10. They are absolutely hilarious even when they are totally not trying to be.

Yawning, throwing their paws at you, and running into walls trying to fetch their tennis ball are the little things our dogs do that may seriously have us ROFL'ing.

11. They always make you feel wanted.

Even on your gloomiest days, dogs will have you feeling like the most important person alive. Between following you at your feet to giving you lovable little kisses while you hold them for comfort. They always understand your emotions.

12. You can never get enough of them.

Forget about wanting to go home to my man, all I can think about while sitting at my desk is how badly I’d love to lay down with my dog.

13. All dogs want to do is be loved by you- nothing more and nothing less.

While men expect you to keep the house clean, do the laundry, make dinner, and keep them satisfied, all your dog wants is a little attention and a whole lot of love. Plus, what’s better than always getting back what you give to someone else?
