We all love our best friends (obviously), they wouldn't be our best friends if we didn't! But how many time a day to you tell your best friend you love them? Rarely? Once or twice? Or everyday multiple times a day (like my best friend and I do)? If you haven't told your best friend you love them in a while, here is a list of the absolute best and most fitting reasons to tell them you love them.
1. They just brought you a coffee without even asking if you wanted one (and you desperately did).
"Ugh I love you I need this." If they're really your best friend, they know your coffee order by heart and exactly when you could use a cup of coffee even if you don't ask for it. (Telepathy, duh).
2. They just gave you a random compliment on something you were feeling insecure about.
"OMG did you just say I look skinny?!" I ate 3 brownies and a bowl of ice cream for breakfast and haven't seen the gym in a week! I LOVE YOU" You know compliments from your best friend are always sincere, so in that moment you literally want to jump on top of your them and never let go.
3. They're having a bad day.
We all have our bad days, and it's probably worse when we see our best friend having a bad day. Sometimes you just need to remind them that even though they failed their exam, lost their room key and stepped in dog poop, everything will be just fine and you love them so so much.
4. They just gave you some A+ advice.
Nobody can give you advice like your best friend (and your mom of course). She tells it like it is whether you want to hear the truth or not, and will always give you advice with your best interest in mind. Gotta love them for that.
5. They pretended to be your girlfriend to get you away from that creepy guy at the bar.
"Hi I'm (insert your name here)'s girlfriend. And you are?" Wow. In that moment you think your best friend may be a gift sent from the heavens. There was no way you could've escaped that creep on your own, you actually want to scream "I love you" for the whole bar to hear.
6. They made you workout even when you didn't feel like it.
Okay, so maybe in the moment you might actually want to tell them you hate them when they're dragging you out of bed to get to the gym. But afterwards, you're so happy that they're actually holding you accountable. They know you'll be pissed later if you don't go. Love/hate relationship for this one (though of course always more love).
7. They ordered a whole pizza for just the two of you when you really just needed it.
There are times when you just NEED to eat a whole pizza between the two of you. So when you get to their house and they told you they already ordered your favorite, you feel a love like no other.
8. They left a party with you because you just wanted to go home.
Some nights you're just tired and the party is boring and everyone around you drank way more than you did so you're slightly annoyed. When you really just want to go crawl back into bed you can always count on your best friend to go home with you, that deserves a sincere I love you.
9. They were your shoulder to cry on.
When your best friend lets you cry on them all night for whatever the reason may be, that deserves a huge "I love you". I mean who else would let you crawl into their bed and get tear stains and boogers all over their pillows (and on them too)?
10. They remembered your favorite color.
"I got this for you in blue because I know it's your favorite color." Okay, I love you, you're so cute that you remembered that one time last year I told you my favorite color.
11. They just spent all day running errands with you.
Running errands alone can be so boring. So when you need to go to target and buy a million things you don't need, you can always count on your best friend to tag along to make it bearable. Tell them you love them because they have a ton of homework and came with you anyway!
12. You won't seem them for a while.
When you're not going to see them for a while, whatever the reason may be, goodbyes are ROUGH. You kind of want to cry (though that's probably very dramatic) so instead you frantically tell them you love them a million times and say "It's only xx days!"
13. No reason at all!
It's always good to remind your best friend how much you love them without any reason at all! Random I love you texts and calls are always a day maker and a reminder to your best friend how much they mean to you.
