It's time to get off Netflix and get to the polls.
1. Somebody struggled for your right to vote. Use it.
Suffragists were jailed and force fed to get the 19th Amendment passed. No matter what your race, gender, or age is, your right to vote came at some price. People made sacrifices so that your voice could be heard. Honor them.
2. If you don't vote...Donald Trump will become president.
We can stop him!
3. Or if you don't vote....Donald Trump won't become president.
The whole point is everyone has an opinion and you are entitled to voice it! Vote for who you believe in and let your voice be heard.
4. You can take a Snapchat before you go into the polls!
Just don't snap the ballot, it's illegal.
5...and after you come out!
Show everyone how politically inclined you are! #justvoted
6. They give you a sticker!
Wear that sticker around campus and be proud of it!
7. This directly affects you! Don't leave decision that will impact your life up to someone else.
Believe it or not, within the next four years, you will be graduating college, getting a job, buying a house, paying for health care, etc. All the policies that you vote for today will directly affect your future. Don't put these choices in someone else's hands.
8. Yes, you are an adult
Despite different attitudes, college students live in the "real world". Your daily life involved making serious decisions and managing your finances. Yes, you are an adult and it is your responsibility to vote.
9. College voters really can change an election.
As Rock the Vote reports in its Young Voter Myths and Facts PDF, "Joe Courtney won by 83 votes, turnout at the UConn polling location was up nearly 10x that" in Connecticut in 2006.
10. So you can complain with integrity.
Listen to Kim K and do something about it. Good ol' honest Abe said, “Elections belong to the people. It’s their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the people and burn their behinds, then they will have to sit on their blisters.” You can't complain about who wins the election if you didn't let your voice be heard.
11. The excitement of casting YOUR vote.

12. There might be free food!
This might be the most important! Polling places sometimes have snacks for voters and many restaurants give out free coffee, food, or discounts on Election Day to those who sport their "I Voted" sticker.
13. College students AKA millennial voters are a key in every election.
With 44 million Millennial voters eligible to vote, together we can make a difference!
For whatever reason you choose, make sure you get out the polls and vote this year!
