There have many, many times in my life where I felt like I really needed to hear some inspirational and positive words to keep me going and staying positive. Here are thirteen of my favorite quotes and I hope they help you in your time of need too.

1. "What's the greatest lesson a woman should learn?

That since day one, she's already had everything she needs within herself. It's the world that convinced her she did not."

- Rupi Kaur

2. "Destiny is for losers. It's just a stupid excuse to wait for things to happen instead of making them happen."

- Blair Waldorf

3. "I am not judged by the number of times I fail, but by the number of times I succeed: and the number of times I succeed is in direct proportion to the number of times I fail and keep trying."

- Tom Hopkins

4. "If I’ve learned one lesson from all that’s happened to me, it’s that there’s no such thing as the biggest mistake of your existence. There’s no such thing as ruining your life. Life’s a pretty resilient thing, it turns out."

- Sophie Kinsella

5. "Double down on your passions. Be bold. Try, fail, try again, lean on each other, hold on to your values, and never, never, never give up. I believe in you. With all my heart, I believe in you."

- Hillary Rodham Clinton

6. "What do you want: The pain of staying where you are or the pain of growth?"

- Judith Hanson Lasater

7. “It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default.”

- J.K. Rowling

8. "They keep saying that beautiful is something a girl needs to be. But honestly? Forget that. Don't be beautiful. Be angry, be intelligent, be witty, be klutzy, be interesting, be funny, be adventurous, be crazy, be talented - there are an eternity of other things to be other than beautiful. And what is beautiful anyway but a set of letters strung together to make a word? Be your own definition of amazing, always. That is so much more important than anything beautiful, ever."

- Nikita Gill

9. "You live, you learn, and you upgrade."

- Unknown

10. "For what it's worth: It's never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you're proud of, and if you find that you're not. I hope you have the strength to start over."

- F. Scott Fitzgerald

11. "Remember you were born of love, you are love, it exists inside you, that's where it begins. When you know this you will have a happier life. ”

- Angie Karan

12. "Do what you feel in your heart to be right, for you'll be criticized anyway."

- Eleanor Roosevelt

13. "Happiness comes from you. No one else can make you happy. You make you happy."

- Beyoncé

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
