13 Halloween Movies You Can Watch On Netflix

October is already here, and that means Halloween is around the corner. That's right, it's time to break out the decorations and think of a cute matching costume for you and your best friend. But don't forget about the best part of Halloween—the movies. Where would Halloween be without scary movies? Whether you're staying in or hosting a group movie night, these 13 movies will send a chill up anyone's spine.

1. "Sleepy Hollow" (1999)

If you want a classic supernatural movie, "Sleepy Hollow" is the one for you. The movie is based on Washington Irving's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and includes horror, mystery, and best of all Johnny Depp.

2. "Scream" (1996)

"Scream" is a slasher film that is not for the faint of heart. Set in a small town, the film follows several high school students as a psychopath serial killer stalks their every move. Just like its title, "Scream" will make you scream.

3. "The Sixth Sense" (1999)

The '90s was a great decade for scary movies. One of those movies, "The Sixth Sense," is about a psychologist and one of his patients, a young boy who sees ghosts. The movie is filled with suspense and ends in a twist that leaves you shocked.

4. "Silence of the Lambs" (1991)

"Silence of the Lambs" is a classic thriller. An FBI student interviews Hannibal Lecter, serial killer extraordinaire, to help with an open case.

5. "The Awakening" (2011)

This movie is a must-see for anyone who loves ghosts. Set in the post-World War II era, it tells the story of a hoax exposer who gets more than she bargained for when she visits a supposedly haunted boys' boarding school.

6. "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (1993)

In "The Nightmare Before Christmas," Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloweentown, discovers Christmas. This movie is a childhood favorite that has to be watched every Halloween.

7. "Let The Right One In" (2008)

This film is perfect for anyone who loves weird mysteries. Set in a small Swedish village, this foreign film follows the growing friendship between Oskar and his mysterious (and slightly creepy) new neighbor, Eli.

8. "The Shrine" (2010)

As a horror/thriller movie, "The Shrine" is sure to stop some hearts. A group of journalists travel to Poland to investigate the search of their missing friend, only to discover an incomprehensible evil.

9. "Rosemary's Baby" (1968)

This is an old movie, but it's a must-see during Halloween. After strange encounters with her neighbors, a pregnant woman starts to believe that her child is not human.

10. "The Others" (2001)

"The Others" is a supernatural thriller set during World War II. A mother moves her children to the country while she waits for her husband to return. During their stay, they go through paranormal events unlike anything they've experienced.

11. "Saw" (2004)

"Saw" is a horror/thriller movie about a serial killer who likes to play games with his victims. The movie is the first of seven in an epic series that perplexes the viewer at every moment.

12. "The Addams Family (1991)

Although it's not as scary as other movies, "The Addams Family" is a must-watch classic Halloween movie. The film follows the comical lives of the members of the Addams family.

13. "The Village" (2004)

This movie is a man vs. beast thriller set in the 19th century. A small community begins to fear the animals living in the surrounding forest and gives the viewer a surprise ending.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
