1. The Preparation to Hog: Making a Diet Plan
Every time I think of thanksgiving, I remember the friends episode when Joey changed into wearing maternity pants. That is practically me every thanksgiving. When it comes to food, the feast isn’t just about one night of turkey dinner, but also numerous desserts and days of delicious creations through leftovers. This results in making a diet plan a week in advance.
2. Fight With Your Parents On Being Indecisive On Travel Plans
Everyone knows (including you) that this is the most expensive time of the year to travel but somethings never change and you sit in front of the computer crying over airline prices and fighting with your parents two weeks before you have to leave.
3. Fam Jam
It’s the holidays and families come together to spend some precious time with each other. You meet relatives you have probably never seen before and find yourself in a mental dilemma when they strike a conversation with you.
4. Mom’s Cookout Anxiety
When there is family, there is a big event happening. This means that mom will be in the kitchen making sure the turkey is cooked perfectly. This means that if something burns, spills, or gets messed up, and you walk in at the same moment... you will regret it the very next.
5. Food… More Food.
It is the most appetizing feast to gain some belly fat for the winter. However, with the short 5 days of Thanksgiving break, Thanksgiving is long gone and you realize you are still eating. This leads to making an aspirational workout plan.
6. Okay I'm Done … After This Slice of Pumpkin Pie
This is a lie said many times during Thanksgiving. Whenever you think it is your last bite, it probably isn’t. I think my regular appetite just multiplies itself during Thanksgiving.
8. Wait, What am I Buying? What am I Buying?!
Black Friday shopping is going online. After a heavy meal, this becomes your go-to. After you make your strategy, it's game time. Having your list in front of you and multiple tabs open on your laptop, you make the fastest decisions you will ever have to, in order to get your Black Friday wish list.
9. Website Crashes
Unfortunately you are not the only one doing that, with the largest number of visitors on various websites than ever before--- websites crash and you give the most melodramatic response ever.
10. Planning for Christmas
Well, since you already have the whole family there, Christmas talks will happen. Wish lists will be exchanged and Secret Santa's will be decided.
11. Random Family Obligations
You are sitting on the couch after the big dinner, stretching your pants while having these random gifts being stuffed in front of your face. Later, your mom calls you to give your cousins, their parents, and everyone numerous thank you's.
12. Never Ending Goodbyes
Goodbyes are hard and long… You’ll have your baby cousin asking you emotional questions on when you will meet them again. You’ll have your mom, packing food and exchanging emotions with her sister, and in the end you will freeze while standing at the door waving goodbye for at least ten good minutes.
13. Giving Thanks…
Sometimes we can forget, but unintentionally all the food, the family, and the happiness of being together with each other is something you do end up being thankful for.
