As you all know, several classic animated movies are being turned into live action movies. Which, in my opinion, is pretty awesome. They not only bring back memories, but for us older kids at heart, they give us something to look forward to. So why not take cartoon shows that we all love and turn them into live action movies, too?! Here's a list of some TV shows I think should be turned into live action movies:
The Powerpuff Girls
These three super-powered little girls saved the city of Townsville for 7 years on Cartoon Network. Since it ended in 2005, it's about time The Powerpuff girls were brought back into action!
Kim Possible
Kim Possible: a teenage hero who deals with villainous masterminds, while also trying to manage personal teen problems. This 4 season Disney cartoon should definitely be made into a live action movie.
The Jetsons
This futuristic series was created in 1962 by Hanna-Barbera and lasted until 1988. However, since it was set in the year of 2062, it consists of robots, flying cars, modern appliances, and most importantly, the misadventures of the Jetson Family. We may not be to 2062 yet, but technology sure has come pretty far, so why not bring it to life?
Codename: Kids Next Door
Codename: Kids Next Door is made up of a British-accented leader, a mechanical genius, a diversionary tactics specialist, a master of combat, and a quiet bearer of the most common sense. A live action movie of these rule breakers and fun seekers would go over great today.
Family Guy
This hilariously crazy television show has so many fans and followers who are completely obsessed with Peter Griffin and his family. You couldn't go wrong with creating a Family Guy live action film.
Rocket Power
These four friends have so much fun surfing, skating, and rollerblading their ways into crazy situations. The early 2000s cartoon, Rocket Power, will always be a great show. Definitely should be brought back!
Doug
Doug is a young boy who makes friends, falls in love, and writes all about his 6th grade experience at Bluffington School in his journal. Not only would middle-schoolers relate to the movie, but all the 90's show lovers would rave over a live creation of Doug.
Charlie Brown
First a comic strip, then holiday-themed movies, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts have been around for 66 years. Being a classic and very well-known, a recreation of Charlie Brown should definitely be an option.
Tom and Jerry
Another classic that's been loved ever since 1940 is Tom and Jerry. The hilarious Tom Cat and Jerry Mouse are always caught chasing one another, but have brief instances of genuine friendship. Yes, the characters are animals, but it's totally doable. Plus, who doesn't love a super cute movie about animals?
Johnny Bravo
Perfectly described on IMDb as "the misadventures of a dumb blond egomanaic who is deluded about his own manliness," Johnny Bravo would make a great live action movie. Maybe more than one!
Recess
These 4 boys and 2 girls in Disney's Recess do what every kid loves to do: play, have fun, express themselves, and develop meaningful relationships, all during playtime on the schoolyard. Bringing this back from our childhood would be so nostalgic.
Jimmy Neutron
The genius and inventor, Jimmy Neutron, his robotic dog, and friends experience life in Retroville. When Jimmy's inventions go awry, like they usually did, hilarious trouble ensues. What a perfect plot for a live action movie!
The Magic School Bus
This very fun, yet educational children's show is made up of unique field trips and ways of learning about the world. Ms. Frizzle and her class should definitely be brought back to teach today's children about the principles of science.
