1. Your sorority house is one of the most beautiful places -- ever.
From the history of it's founding to the new top half the chapter just renovated, it's your favorite place to be. Aside from simply being able to hold every girl in your chapter for spirit week, it also serves as a common thing everyone loves and respects. It's a calming factor and you’re proud to call it your home.
2. You trust your sisters.
Whether it's helping you figure out what bid day outfit looks the best, or helping you in picking out this year's pledge class -- these are the girls whose opinions matter most. Furthermore, they will always guide you down the right path, one filled with laughter and joy.

3. Hormones are real.
I can't stop laughing, I can't stop crying -- why am I feeling so much?Granted, living around that much estrogen can probably cause your system to get a little loopy, but the emotions are stemming from a real place. You're excited about new sisters, exhausted from the late nights of preparation, and somebody just got your Starbucks order wrong -- it's practically a crime to not be over emotional.4. It's okay to cry.
Sure, you've seen your sisterhood video for the eighth time today, and sung a rendition of "Lean On Me" for the 12th time -- but, trust me, it's okay to cry. Your sorority is something so special to you, and you wish that PNMs could see it too. So go ahead and cry, let it all out -- you've got your sisters to lean on.5. Recruitment is not as vain as the media makes it out to be.
As you go through recruitment as a member for the first time you realize that it's not about how pretty the girl is, or if she's wearing Lilly's latest collection -- it's about getting to know her true self during the week. All women are beautiful and the characteristics that make them as such do not rely solely on aesthetics. Recruitment definitely made me realize that every woman deserves a fair chance.
6. You kind of forgot that boys existed.
Due to guidelines set aside by Panhellenic and the fact that you were busy from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. every day for two weeks, boys were just not a priority. So after bid day, when you check your phone and realize that your crush has been texting you to hang all week, you're kind of dumbfounded as to how to react.6. You probably drank more Starbucks than water.
Staying peppy for two weeks on little sleep is a very difficult task. But if there is anything that makes sorority girls happy, it's Starbucks. Frappes, cappuccinos, refreshers -- these were your lifelines all week and every time you got one it was like someone had given you a venti order of pure bliss.7. You hated waking up early, but you did it anyways.
Your new members are the ones you've been dreaming about since the day you got your bid card, and now the day is almost here. The blood, sweat, and tears will all soon be worth it. So despite the fact that your alarm sounded less like "All About That Bass" and more like Wagner's"Ride of the Valkyries," you got up anyways -- because teamwork makes the dream work and you wouldn't have gotten such perfect new members had everyone not put in 110 percent effort.
8. Your recruitment chair is Superwoman.
Every morning, homegirl was up at 6 a.m. dressed to the nines. She got less sleep than anyone, yet still managed to be dazzling every time she welcomed a new round. Her hard work and leadership helped sustain the future of your chapter and to her you are ever grateful. Good job, Sis. You rock!
9. You made fun of the way you had to walk and smile, but you did it anyways.
No, of course we don't walk and smile like that all the time, but hey, our charm got you here, right? Nothing was funnier than watching sophomores practice steps for the first time, and nothing hurt more than your cheeks after smiling for ten minutes straight during a skit. But, hey, at least smiling releases endorphins, and endorphins make you happy, and happy girls don't just get a bad pledge class.
10. You were mentally counting down the days until bid day, but when it got here it seemed like the week had flown by.
During spirit week time seemed to move slower than a snail. You had loads to prepare for, skits to practice, and songs to learn. Then recruitment week happened and everyday you'd wait to see if your rush crush came back, which made the days drag on, but then bid day hit and you realized that everything happened in a blink of an eye. Not only that, but that you'd do it all over again if it meant creating memories and growing closer with your sisters.
