We all have that one friend, or maybe even a group of friends that have been there for as long as we can remember. These friends are unlike any other, they are truly special. From kindergarten to college these friends have been through it all with you. They have become part of your family and they are the kind of friends you never want to lose. Here are a few reasons your childhood best friend could never be replaced.
1. They were there for all of your awkward stages and they still love you!
To that one time in elementary school when your pants fell down in front of everyone, to the awkwardly edited pictures in middle school, to most recently the times when parties got the best of you. Your childhood bestie has been there for it all, and for some odd reason, she's still around.
2. There is nothing you can't say or do in front of them because they've seen it all.
Let's face it, there's not much you haven't done in front of your childhood best friend by now. After all, you've been friends since before you stopped wetting the bed.
3. You have inside jokes from 2nd grade you still bring up daily.
There are just some things that will never get old.
4. They were there long before guys and they will be there long after.
Your best friend has been there through your 4th-grade crushes and your day long middle school relationships, and she has seen your heart get broken by your first true love. While guys come and go, your best friend is there to stay.
5. You are a part of their family, as they are a part of yours.
You are loved like you are one of there own. Their parents quickly become your second parents. You refer to their cousins as your cousins. They will protect, love, and guide you like you are their own blood. How lucky are you to have even more love in your life than you could ever imagine.
6. A fight that could end any normal friendship could never put a dent in one that has lasted 14 years.
Of course, you have disagreements and argue with each other but your fights never last longer than an hour. After 14 years there's really nothing that could break the bond that you share.
7. They are on your side even when they know you are wrong.
Even when you best friend knows you are acting crazy, she'll still defend you and join in on any insane shenanigans you have planned. After all, she knows you'll do it with or without her.
8. But, they aren't afraid to put you in your place when you mess up.
They will be the first to tell you what you need to hear. No matter how bad the truth may hurt, they do it because they love you.
9. Being friends for so long gives them an upper hand on how to cheer you up.
They know just what you need when you're feeling down.
10. They know all of your secrets but would never tell a soul.
Your childhood best friend knows all of your deep, dark secrets. You trust them with your life and know that no matter what happens they will never tell them to anyone.
11. You couldn't picture your life without them.
Ever since you were little girls you have talked about the future. Always making each other bridesmaids in the others wedding and godmothers of your first born.There is no way after 14 years of friendship that you could ever live without your childhood bestie!
12. You know that no matter what, you will always have at least one true friend.
And that's why your childhood BFF can never be replaced.
