The most well known music festival in the pop punk/metal/alternative/rock world is quickly approaching. If you haven't decided whether or not you want to go- don't fret. I'm about to give you the 12 raddest bands you don't wanna miss out on! I'll even post a few Youtube links so you can get a taste of what they sound like. You're welcome.
12. Knuckle Puck
I've never seen knuckle puck live but, I'm super excited to see them! My favorites by them are "No Good," and "Untitled." I would definitely check them out!
11. Mayday Parade
I saw Mayday Parade in 2014 during Warped and they put on such a great show. From "Black Cat" to "Terrible things" -- they play it all! A few of my favorites are "Jamie All Over" (just because it has my name in it), "Miserable at Best," and "I'd Hate to Be You When People Find Out What This Song Is About." I'd highly suggest seeing them!
10. We the Kings
Another band I saw in 2014 -- they had an album that just came out then so it'll be awesome to see what songs they decide to play this year! Everyone knows of "Check Yes Juliet" or "Skyway Avenue" and, they're pretty great live.
9. Real Friends
Another band I have yet to see live but, is one band I'm pumped to see. One of my favorite songs by them is "I've Given Up on You" or "Late Nights in My Car." They also just recently came out with a new album called "The Home Inside My Head" so it'll be awesome to see them perform some newer songs!
8. The Story So Far
I haven't seen The Story so Far live yet either but, it's another band I'm stoked to see. They also released a new album that has some pretty great songs such as, "Heavy Gloom," "Solo," and "Nerve." Of course, all their older stuff is even better! I'd suggest listening to "Under Soll and Dirt" -- it's one of my favorite albums.
7. With Confidence
I recently discovered With Confidence and I fell in love instantly. They're an up and coming band from Australlia and they have some pretty great songs. My personal favorites are "Higher," "Voldemort," "Keeper," and "We'll be Okay." Definitely check them out!
6. Sum 41
Let's be real, you can't pass up seeing Sum 41! This is one band i can't wait to see. Talk about middle school memories- that's when I first discovered them and the fact they're playing on Warped makes me so ecstatic. This is one band you don't want to miss, for sure. I would suggest "Fat Lip," "In too Deep," and "With Me." My favorite album by them is by far is "Underclass Hero." You'd be missing out on a lot if you didn't see them!
5. Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!
Another really great band. My favorite album by them is probably "Something for Nothing" -- it's one of their older albums. All of their newer stuff is just as good! I'd highly suggest seeing them as well.
4. Sleeping with Sirens
Who doesn't love Kellin Quinn? I've seen Sleeping with Sirens and let me tell ya, they put on such a great show. They have a few acoustic albums a long with their normal stuff. I personally love it all. I would suggest listening to "Roger Rabbit" or "Stomach Tied In Knots" if you like more of the acoustic. If you like more of the normal stuff I would suggest, "If You Can't Hang," "If I'm James Dean, You're Audrey Hepburn," "Heroine," "Fly," or "With Ears to See, and Eyes to Hear." Anything by them is good, really.
3. Issues
Man, who doesn't love Tyler Carter also? Issues is such a hype band and they put on such a great show as well! I've seen them two times and I'm excited to see them for a third. They just put out a really great album too that I'm sure they're going to play a few of the songs off of there. My favorite album by Issues is most likely "Black Diamonds" but, "Issues" is a runner up, for sure. If you want to listen to some of their newer stuff I'd suggest "The Realest" definitely one of my favorites off that album.
2. Yellowcard
Okay, Yellowcard is still such a great band. If you don't know "Ocean Avenue" you need to go look it up right now. Better yet, I'll put the link below. Ocean Avenue is a great song to crowd surf to (If that's something you're into -- I know I am). Also, "Awakening" and "The Only One" are solid songs as well.
1. State Champs
I've seen State Champs two times and I would see them for a third time in a heart beat. My personal favorites by them are "Deadly Conversation," "Secrets," "Easy Enough," and "If I'm Lucky." They put on such a great show, and interact really well with the crowd. I would highly suggest seeing them! You won't wanna miss out on them!
