Does anyone even watch MTV anymore? I barely do, unless there's randomly a good movie on late at night (usually on the weekends). Shows like "16 and Pregnant," "Teen Mom," "Catfish" and "Ridiculousness" have taken over the entire channel. While they were interesting at first, they got old really fast. MTV used to have entertaining, but slightly ridiculous, shows. If kids today were to watch them now, they would think these shows were weird, but my friends and I used to be obsessed. MTV should definitely show old reruns of these shows, or even get them on Netflix.
Here's a list of classic MTV shows that need to make a comeback.
1. "Parental Control" (2006-2010)
Imagine if your parents hated your significant other, set you up on two other blind dates and then you had to choose one of the three to continue dating? Would you trust their judgement?
2. "My Super Sweet 16" (2005-2008)
We all thought the girls (and sometimes guys) on this show were ridiculously bratty and spoiled, but we couldn't help but be slightly jealous of them.3. "Engaged & Underage" (2007-2008)
4. "Silent Library" (2009-2012)
This game show was hilarious. It feautured many bands, celebrities and regular people who had to remain silent in a library while performing "punishment" challenges.
5. "Disaster Date" (2009-2011)
If my friends ever set me up on a blind date with a guy who did everything I hated, I really don't think I would survive.
6. "MTV Cribs" (2000-2011)
They need to bring this show back and feature new celebrites. Or even bring back previous celebrities and let us see their homes now.
7. "Next" (2005-2008)
All the contestants' personal facts were the best part of this show.
8. "Paris Hilton's: My New BFF"
I still can't believe this was an actual show. Paris Hilton actually had a reality show where girls (and sometimes guys) competed to be her BFF.
9. "Pimp My Ride" (2004-2007)
My car needs to be pimped out.
10. "A Shot At Love with Tila Tequila" (2007-2008)
This dating show was very similar to "The Bachelor," and probably much more entertaining. And of course, she barely ended up with anyone who "won" the show.
11. "Laguna Beach" (2004-2006)
Sometimes I see reruns of this show in the summer, and obviously I sit on my couch and watch them all morning. We all wanted to live the life of Lauren Conrad.
12. "The Hills" (2006-2010)
This was the best thing to happen to MTV since "Laguna Beach."
MTV do us a favor and bring some of these back. Or at least give us reruns!
