As 2015 comes to a close, we look forward into 2016. With the fandom-packed lineup the incoming year holds, we can expect that theaters will be even fuller in 2016. Between comic book films, animated, and a new "Harry Potter"-franchise film coming soon, get ready to empty your pockets for some theater tickets!
1. "Batman vs. Superman"
(Yes, that GIF is from "HolyMusical Batman!" by Starkid.) But seriously, Batman and Superman in the same movie? It's going to be epic!
2. "Deadpool"
For the Marvel Comics fandom, the Deadpool movie has been delayed for way too long. It's about time they make a movie for this comic book character -- and they have!
3. "Zoolander 2"
Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are back at it with this upcoming sequel. But will it flop like other sequels have, or will it come out on top? I'm not sure just yet, but here's hoping.
4. "The Boy"
For the thriller-loving, "The Boy" will most likely be one of the creepiest movies of the year. A life-size doll that may actually be alive? Super freaky indeed. If I were into horror films, I would definitely want to check this out.
5. "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them"
J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World lives on in this spin-off of her popular series, "Harry Potter." Set in America, it will be interesting to see what American wizards were up to before Harry Potter's time. As a "Harry Potter" fan, I cannot contain my nerdgasm!
6. "Ghostbusters"

7. "Angry Birds Movie"
"Angry Birds" originally was a popular mobile game that sling-shot into our hearts. Now they're making a movie about the birds. Can you not agree that the little fluffy birds look so adorable? I will be watching this movie just because of all the cute creatures!
8. "The Secret Life of Pets"
9. "Zootopia
10. "Moana"
I'm glad Disney is finally putting more people of color in their films! While the ratio between white role models and POC role models in Disney films is still slanted, it's an improvement! I am so excited to see this movie about a new "princess," and hopefully it will have some great feminist storylines.
11. "Finding Dory"
"Finding Nemo" came into my life when I was 8 years old, and I have never stopped loving the Pixar film. I love Ellen DeGeneres and I am so excited that Dory will have her own film this coming year!
