Sometimes, life can get a little hectic. Whether your job, school, parenting, or growing up, is
1. Be present. Stop thinking of the future and all the responsibilities it holds, you don't have to deal with that today. Stop thinking of the past, it's over and done with, be thankful that it has shaped you into who you are today. Be Present, take risks, and enjoy right now.
2. Stay humble. So many of us walk around thinking the worst won't happen to us. We see tragedy happen
3. Take risks. Fear can be a good thing. It stops you from doing anything dangerous, but not everything that sends butterflies in your stomach is life threatening. You're not going to die by joining the club that you're afraid to do by yourself. Go out with the guy who asked you on a date. Take the class with the professor that everyone hates. If it goes south, it's a lesson, which is still something to be thankful for. If I let my fear control my life I wouldn't have found my place in this world, nor would I have found the friends that I'm thankful for everyday. In the end, the risk, is always worth it.

4. Stop expecting. Expectations are high these days. Which means so much is expected from us that it's almost overbearing. The hard truth is that you're probably not going to find your prince or princess if you are making everyone a frog. Don't write someone off if they don't automatically meet your expectations. Everyone is different. Everyone has something to bring to the table, you just have to look for it. Just think, that frog turned into a prince eventually.
5. Let yourself be happy. A concept that could be so
6. Feel. Try allowing yourself to feel the feelings that you try to avoid, you will see a difference. "You shouldn't try to stop everything from happening." It's the most important sentence in this quote because the truth is, you're supposed to feel everything. The moment you decide to embrace all those feelings and take it in is the moment you have become a better version of yourself. It may be uncomfortable, or even
7. Have fun. You may be
8. Relax. If you're like me and are in college, you're probably feeling levels of stress that you've never experienced before. This, my fellow peers, is the quote for you. School is important, yes, but so is your mental health. As the years go on in college, the work gets harder. I bet you've learned to run on only a couple hours of sleep, and pulling all-nighters probably a regular thing for
9. Embrace bad situations. People go through a lot, everyone has a story. Bad things happen
10. Forgive and live. You'll get screwed over time to time, but don't let that ruin you. If you get screwed over or hurt, in any aspect of your life, don't let that make you hateful. Take that experience, learn from it, forgive anything that needs forgiving, and move on. The world is
11. Stop judging people. People are who they are, they aren't going to change for you, and they shouldn't have too. Accept them even if they don't accept you. Be the bigger person. If what they are doing isn't hurting you then don't waste your energy thinking about it. You
12. Live for you. Society tells us to follow the rules and as you get older, the more rules you get. You all know societies norm. You go to school, graduate, work, and have a family in there somewhere. It seems like so many people are afraid to jump off that bandwagon and do what they want to do. Ladies and gentlemen, this is YOUR LIFE. If you are not happy working that 5 to 9 job, quit it. You will find the means to survive, I promise. Stop living your life based on societies norms, if traveling the world will make you happy then quit that job you hate and go. Don't just exist in this world, live it.

If it means anything- we're all alright.
