One Tree Hill may have ended a few years ago, but it still continues to touch the hearts of many people. The brilliant characters and storylines brought tears to our eyes and made our mouths drop in horror multiple times every episode. Not only was there tears brought on by a lot of drama on the hit television show, and I mean a lot of drama, but there were a lot of tears of joy as well. Whether you were Team Brooke or Team Peyton (I assume everyone is Team Naley), there was lots of love on the show. It featured one of the greatest love triangles possibly ever and the most gorgeous (and dramatic) TV weddings. Here are 11 times One Tree Hill made you believe in love.
1. Nathan and Haley's first wedding
Everyone was shocked in the first season finale, when Haley appeared with a ring on that finger. At only seventeen, Nathan and Haley decided on the spur of the moment to get married. It was just them, Haley's parents, and a priest. They exchanged vows on a beach (that was later torn down) and surprised the whole town of Tree Hill the next day.
2. Lucas tells Brooke why he loves her (in the rain)
Episode thirteen in season three is filled with lots of adorable scenes: Nathan and Haley officially get back together- in the rain, and Peyton and her second mom bond. The whole episode is filled with love and drama (RIP Ellie). But, the best moment is when Brooke storms out on Lucas and he follows her into the storm. Even fans of Team Peyton fans had to smile.
3. Karen proposes to Keith
4. Jake comes back (again)
Jake always seemed to be leaving. His first priority was obviously his daughter, Jenny, but after his daughter was taken by her mother and he left to find her, we wondered if he'd ever show his face in Tree Hill again. The answer? Nope. He didn't come back to Tree Hill, but Peyton did choose him over Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy. Viewers expected Peyton to jump on a plane to see Pete, however, everyone was ecstatic when she showed up at an airport and Jake and Jenny were there to pick her up. I will forever be Team Jeyton.
5. Nathan and Haley's second wedding
After a rough start to their first marriage (thanks Chris Keller), Nathan decided to propose the traditional way. They renewed their vows in front of all their friends and family this time. Now, let us pretend that the whole limo falling of the bridge thing didn't happen after the reception.
6. Haley gives up her dream for Nathan
After the point shaving scandal, Nathan's dream of going to Duke University is crushed. He ends up going to a tiny school nearby. Haley's dream of going to Stanford is suddenly up in the air. However, she doesn't even think twice about giving it up and going to the tiny school with Nathan.
7. Lucas chooses Peyton
After the Ravens win the state championship game, Lucas goes up to Peyton and tell hers that when all his dreams come true, the one he wants standing next to him is her. They kiss and it seems like it's going to be a fairy tale ending, but this is One Tree Hill, so obviously he has a heart attack at the end of the episode.
8. Brooke and Julian's Wedding
We can't forget good old Julian now, can we? Julian supported Brooke throughout their relationship. He was there for her when she fought with her mother, her company began to go under, and when she found out she could never have children. Brooke had been through so much and deserved to have a perfect wedding day. So, that's what she got. No drama. Plus, Julian's vows were everything.
9. Brooke found out she was pregnant
Moving on from the last post- Brooke was devastated to find out she could never become pregnant. It turned out, she was one in a million, and she became pregnant. She told Julian and the whole world cried happy tears! So much love.
10. Lucas and Peyton's wedding
Lucas and Peyton finally end up together and find out that they are having a baby. They end up having a small wedding because of pregnancy issues, and exchange beautiful vows together. Then, of course, the drama ensues and Peyton almost dies.
11. Brooke and Peyton's Friendship
They may not be "in love" but these two girls have the greatest love on the show. Peyton and Brooke have the best friendship out there. They went through so much together, but in the end they realized that no guy should end their friendship. In season 5, when they called each other from their new lives in LA and NYC and decided to return to Tree Hill, everyone realized that they both had a friendship that would last a lifetime. And I mean, who wouldn't want to be friends with Brooke Davis?
