Ever since Netflix opened its doors to the internet realm in 1997 people across the globe have been taking advantage of its streaming services, especially since Blockbuster reduced to only 51 stores left in the U.S due to bankruptcy. But now, it's 2016, and it has been a saving grace for college students with over 6,494 movies and 1,609 TV shows to pass the time between classes and before that big midterm you have coming up. But Netflix isn't always on your side, and can actually annoy you even further than you already are.
1. Netflix will never have commercials.
Although, this does mean we have to pause during "the best part" to go to the bathroom, or get something to eat or drink.
2. Finding a show you really like, and not wanting to stop.
Nothing can be more annoying than having found the 'greatest show of all time' and having all 500 seasons of it right in front of you. Which can basically mean, bye, bye summer.
3. Gaining that close connection to a show.
Bonding with that one single character who does everything you do.
4. Knowing Netflix will keep the new seasons coming.
As long as they're still being produced, they'll probably end up on your tv at home.
5. Being your best friend when all others are asleep at four am.
Netflix will always be there to answer your call.
6. Netflix will never judge you when you start that 12th hour.
Sometimes after a long week, you just need to lay in bed and binge watch every single show and movie available, without someone telling you how to live your life.
However, Netflix isn't always on your side.
7. Frantically trying to find a new show to watch.
You're finally on the last season, and you have two episodes left before the season finally, so you scroll through all the similar choices hoping one will catch your eye.
8. When you finish a episode and want to sleep, but the next one is about to start.
"Well, I guess since class isn't until three, I can stay up a few more hours, right?"
9. When it thinks you're finished watching after only two episodes.
You don't know me! Check on me after ten, not two, and I'm too lazy to click the play button, why don't you have voice command!
10. When Netflix threatens to get rid of your favorite show.
They've already tried to do this with my favorite show on here twice. 'Scrubs' was actually supposed to be off Netflix, - for the second time - May 2nd, but for some reason, it's still on.
11. But overall, they never disappoint.
Through both good and bad times with Netflix, we have to agree it's pretty much what keeps all of us sane after a hard week of classes or work. So I guess we kind of have to be grateful for it.
