If you are a fellow TV addict, then, odds are you have ten hours of television to catch up on this very moment. So let’s just get right to it:
1. No one understands your obsession.
Whenever you start rambling about how underrated The 100 is, everyone around you gets mega-confused and tunes out. It’s hard for people to understand what you’re talking about half the time, and how you have so much time to keep up with so many shows.
2. Sometimes, you set aside a whole day just to watch your shows.
Hey, there are times where you just can’t go out. Whether you have to find out what’s happening with the supernatural teens in Beacon Hills or need to keep up with the liars in Rosewood, sometimes a day off is necessary. This can even be better than going out for you.3. You catch yourself taking a show a little too seriously and get exhausted.
When you start talking as if you are a part of the show, you know you need to take a step back from everything. Sure, it can be the best feeling in the world to be so caught up in a show that you blur the lines between reality and fantasy, but at other times it can be a bit too much.4. You get more emotional about certain shows than real life events.
The season three finale of "The Vampire Diaries," the series finale of Lost, or pretty much any episode of "The Fosters" leaves you in a puddle of tears every time.5. Midseason hiatuses are the most painful part of the year.
When everyone is rejoicing and celebrating because of the holiday season, you are sulking because your shows won’t be back until the end of January.6. Cancellation indexes stress you out, but you still constantly check them every week.
Because without them, you would have no idea whether your favorite shows are popular enough to be saved and renewed for another season.7. The moment of panic when someone asks you about your interests.
Do I tell them the truth? Or make up a random hobby? Will they walk away if I tell them? Or just glare and pretend to be amused? Oh god, they are expecting an answer now.Because even if people give weird stares, or think you could be spending your time doing other things, watching TV and everything that comes along with it is what you enjoy doing most. And you love yourself for that.
