If you've ever seen the popular show "Gossip Girl," you would know that Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen are the queens of the Upper East Side. If New York was run by a monarchy, the two would definitely be sitting on the throne. If you have yet to see "Gossip Girl" I suggest you abandon any plans you had for the day and binge watch the show on Netflix ASAP. However this article will not be foucsing on all the reasons one should watch the show. Instead, I'm going to focus on all of the times Blair Waldorf wasn't a queen, but a very relateable, and lovable person.
1. That time she said exactly what you've been wanting to say to the ex you still love and new his girlfriend.
Seriously does he HAVE to parade her around?
2. Or the time she showed how seriously scared and alone she felt.
You'd be lying if you said you haven't felt like this before. The uber popular teen showed us that we're not alone in feeling this way.
3. That time she showed us she relaxes by snacking on not so healthy foods.
So the next time you start to feel guilty about eating the whole box of chocolates after your super hard calculus exam, don't. Blair does it too.
4. We can't forget all the times she gave her friends good relationship advice.
We've all done the same for our friends, just like Blair has for hers.
5. Or that time she explained how you feel after you sit through a confusing lecture.
Can you repeat that slower and in normal people language?
6. Or that time when Blair said what you've always wanted to say to the Starbucks barista who took to long to make your drink and then messed it up.
7. Or that one time Blair said what you've been telling yourself all along.
And then you argue with yourself about not needing one but wanting one. Blair's been there too.
8. And that one time Blair said what you were thinking when your data plan finally resets after you used 90% of it the month before and didn't want to go over.
Yeah you might have sat in your room using the wifi all month but you didn't have to deal with the wrath of your mom so its not really a big loss.
9. Also when Blair summed up how you feel when the girl you don't like walks in.
Pretending to be nice should be an Olympic sport. If it was, Blair would probably win the gold medal though.
10. Or that time Blair made the same exact face you make when you see a super cute boy walk past.
And then you immediately look at your friends and call dibs.
11. And of course that time when Blair explained how you felt Netflix.
Blair Waldorf will always be one of the queens of the Upper East Side. But she's also just a teenager. Designer wardrobes and princes as boyfriends may make her a queen, but they don't make her an un-relatable person.
