Anyone out there who doesn't stretch every day might understand how I feel every time I step into a yoga class. Now there are your standard yoga classes, and then there's hot yoga. If plain old yoga is already difficult for you, just wait until you try hot yoga--imagine being put into a 100-degree room and then trying to touch your toes.
Here are just a few thoughts that go through my mind during my 70 minute hot yoga class:
0:05 Ok, the heat isn’t that bad. It feels kind of good, actually.
0:10 Why are people breathing so loudly?
0:15 All we have done are breathing exercises and I can already feel sweat dripping down my body.
0:20 These poses haven’t been bad so far. Wait, that was the warm up?
0:21 Why is there a warm up if the room has already warmed us up?
0:30 I don’t know why they call it warrior pose; I just look like an awkward duck.
0:40 How does one do tree pose properly if your foot is too sweaty to stay propped on your leg?
0:50 Finally, floor poses.
0:55 I hope no one is looking at me attempting to touch my toes.
1:00 No matter how many classes, I take I still can’t figure out bunny pose.
1:10 Ah, Savasana.
