11 Thoughts Every Non-Coffee Drinker Can Relate To

Living in a society that is so coffee-centric, it can be difficult to survive as a non-coffee drinker. Those who drink coffee are the majority, so the minority who don't are left out of the social and pop culture coffee craze. Whether it's because of dislike or choice, there are a few thoughts that all non-coffee lovers can definitely relate to.

1. Constantly being asked, "But have you tried *insert fancy coffee brand/store here*?"

No, I haven't, but I don't think a different label will change my mind about drinking coffee.

2. Being asked out for coffee and hoping the cafe sells tea or hot chocolate too.

Really anything other than coffee will do. At least they'll have water if all else fails.

3. Asking the cashier, "Does that drink have coffee in it?" just to be sure you don't have any unhappy surprises.

Nothing is worse than getting a sweet mixed drink and taking a big gulp, only to find out it secretly has coffee in it.

4. Having to wait for your coffee-drinking friends every morning on their daily caffeine run.

The line is so long, do you really need it? Yes? Ok, I guess I'll be waiting outside.

5. Getting looks from people like you're crazy when you politely decline an offer for coffee.

No matter how many times you ask me, "Are you sure you don't want any coffee?" the answer will still be no.

6. Not getting excited about Starbucks' newest seasonal flavored coffee drink.

Pumpkin spice latte? What's that

7. Waking up and getting ready for the day is easy and carefree.

Well, mornings aren't ever truly "easy," but relatively speaking, not being dependent on a liquid for energy is reassuring and liberating.

8. Thinking of all the money and time you save by not drinking coffee.

Um, how much does the average coffee drinker spend a year on coffee? Oh yeah, about $1,100. No, thank you!

9. Being asked, "But how do you function without coffee?" by anyone new who discovers you aren't a coffee drinker.

I wake up and start my day like any other person. I should be the one asking you, "How do you function knowing that on any given day, without coffee, you'll become the wicked witch from Grumpy Town?"

10. Never understanding the frustration of a misspelled name on a Starbucks coffee cup.

No coffee, no cup, no problem. What's the big deal anyways?

11. Coffee stains and burns are non-existent.

Yay for clean rugs, car seats, and clothes -- am I right?!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
