Though some of the following items may seem nonessential, I promise that having them will elevate your college experience.
1. Vacuum.
2. Command hooks/strips.
As most schools do not allow you to nail/thumbtack decorations onto the wall, utilize these nifty adhesives to hang up posters, canvases, lights, etc.
3. Rain gear.
To all y'all attending Tulane or a school situated in a city just as humid, you will absolutely regret not having an umbrella if your next class is a ten minute swim away.
5. Earplugs.
6. Keurig.
Because sometimes the coffee shop on campus just doesn't cut it.
7. Cold medicine.
When faced with a busy schedule from classes, studying, parties, and clubs, combined with a poor diet, college students are bound to get sick. Furthermore, as so many students live in close proximity to one another, the plague spreads fast.
8. Melatonin.
DRUGS ARE NEVER THE ANSWER... but this is useful for when life's struggles keep you up at night.
9. Speakers.
10. HDMI Cable.
It can come in handy when you feel like watching Netflix in the common room for a movie-night in with your friends.
11. Shower shoes.
I don't care where you go to school; COMMUNAL BATHROOMS ARE DISGUSTING. With the tiles lined with hair, urine, and vomit, shower shoes are an absolute MUST.
