When you're stuck in a dilemma, who do you call for advice? Most of the time, you will say your mom. Your mom helps with friend drama and choosing what outfit to wear- all of the girly things. So where does that leave dad? Your dad isn't the person you call for your relationship troubles but when you think about it, there are so many things only your dad can do. Here are 11 things that only dads are good at!

1. Teaching you how to drive or ride a bike.

Usually dads take the reins on this one. Instead of hearing, "OH MY GOSH WATCH OUT!" from your mom every second, your dad keeps cool. Your anxiety is brought down to a minimum and you're able to concentrate behind the wheel.

2. Adventurous and outdoor activities.

Because who else would take you fishing?

3. Brushing your hair.

Moms are always in a rush and need to get tasks done quickly because they have a million and one things to do. This results in mornings filled with tears because of how rough she was brushing your hair. Dad always has a little more time and patience. There will be no tears shed when your dad brushes your hair.

4. Keeping calm.

If you fell as a kid, mom would always quickly run over to you to kiss the bumps and bruises. Dad just says, "You're alright!" You can always count on dad for his calm and mellow attitude.

5. Teaching lessons.

Dads are known for their lengthy speeches but they only give them once. After that one talk you're free to go on your own and figure it out. Your dad gives you the room to learn from your mistakes without being too overbearing.

6. Going shopping.

Yes, mom always has the best fashion advice but whenever you go shopping with dad you can guarantee to get some good stuff. He never hesitates to spend a little extra on you.

7. Killing spiders and other creepy crawly things.

Since you and your mom are usually screaming over the bug, dad is left to do the job. There isn't anyone who kills spiders better than dad.

8. School projects.

Your dad will take the time to help you with science experiments and creating dioramas. He is the best to do this with because he can always transform your visions into masterpieces. His expert craftsmanship can make anything light up or spin around. You will for sure get an A+!

9. Winning carnival prizes.

Dads are super competitive. At carnivals your dad can be found at the water gun game or the horse race trying to win you a prize. He will do anything to make you smile.

10. Shoulder rides.

Anyone can give a piggy back ride. It takes someone special to give a shoulder ride. Your dad can easily pick you up and place you on his shoulders to make you, what felt like, 100 ft. tall!

11. Protect you.

Your dad is your biggest protecter and personal bodyguard. No matter what age you are, your dad will hunt anyone down that tries to mess with you. He will go to the end of the world for you and do whatever is takes to keep you safe.

Not to say that moms aren't great and all but never forget your dad! Even though your mom is your go to most of the time there are many things that only your dad can do for you! We sometimes forget these things because we are too old for them or they don't happen very often. No matter how old you are, you will always need your dad.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
