Makeup is like the Photoshop of real life, and I for one am completely addicted to everything matte, shiny, or sparkly. If you also practically live at your local Ulta or Sephora, you know that there are some things that you can only connect with other makeup-lovers over. If you ever meet me in real life, please talk to be about these eleven things you and I both know are totally true.

1. You know that when you set out to do a thin eyeline, you always end up as Amy Winehouse.

2. You know that as soon as your paycheck hits direct deposit, it's time for Sephora and Ulta to receive a little visit.

3. And you know that some of the money you spend would better be used on textbooks, but you totally don't care.

4. You know the difference between all your brushes, and you can tell all your friends what each one is for.

5. You know that the perfect wing is a 100% legit reason to be late.

6. And you've probably been staring at your perfect makeup for at least ten minutes after it's done.

7. You've definitely gotten into a fight with your boyfriend/roommate over how much space your makeup collection takes up.

8. And when you meet a fellow makeup-lover, it's like you're meeting your soulmate.

9. You've totally rubbed your eyes when wearing a ton of eyeliner. It's a struggle.

10. You know that eyelash glue gets everywhere except where you want it.

11. You know that when you get enough time to do your makeup, you'll totally slay all day.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
