Best friends are some of the most important people in your life. You can joke around with them, tell them all of your secrets, and trust that they will always have your back. You probably thank them endless times for many things, but there are some things that you never think of thanking them for. These are just a few of the many things that best friends do but may happen without a thank you.
1. Obnoxiously singing along to the radio with you
No matter what song comes on, both of you know all of the words. If not, you'll be belting out any words that come to mind at the top of your lungs. Either way, it is just as fun!
2. Putting up with non-explanatory tears
Girls cry over anything and everything, it's just a fact. I can almost guarantee you that both you and your best friend have had these instances where the tears come plummeting down your face for no reason. How lucky are you to have a best friend that puts up with it every single time, and does it in such a loving way?!
3. Leaving you little notes and surprises when you needed it the most
Best friends always know when something isn't quite right. They know when you need a little cheering up, and they know just how to do it. A simple note is always wonderful! The week of first semester finals one of my friends gave me a note that said, "Happy last day of class!! Hope all of your finals go awesome! Also remember grades don't matter in heaven :)" That little note took the edge off of the week and made me smile, which was exactly what I needed!
4. Knowing exactly what to say and when to say it
In some situations, you need advice. In other situations you just want someone to vent to. Whichever it may be, your best friends know when to do which. They always know what to say, just as you do for them!
5. Eating that insanely unhealthy food with you and never feeling guilty about it
Toppers pizza sticks at 9:00 PM after dinner? Of course! And the fact that your best friend's boyfriend bought it is even better! Any food, any time, no regrets.
6. Agreeing to not like someone who did you wrong, even if they don't know the person
If someone treated you wrong, you can count on your best friend to no longer like them either. It's not even an option to like that person anymore because no one messes with your best friend!
7. The times when you needed hard advice and they gave you the truth instead of what you might have wanted to hear
Sometimes what you want to hear is far from what you need to hear. You can count on your best friend to correctly judge which one is necessary. Just trust that when they do decide to tell you the truth, the truth is probably correct.
8. Helping to cover for you when you needed to lie to your parents about something

9. Letting you bombard into their room regardless of what time of day it is or how much stuff they need to get done
Whether you need to get something off of your chest or you are just bored, they will welcome you in whenever. It doesn't matter if they have 4 hours of homework left to do. They will always be there for you in any situation, and their space is yours.
10. Letting you get into that relationship that probably wasn't "good" for you
Learning experiences are so important when it comes to relationships, and your best friend knows that. Therefore, they allow you to be in that relationship that may not be the best for you, knowing that when it ends or when you realize you are too good for them she will still be right there by your side.
11. When you are in a tough situation and you go on and on about it while they listen lovingly and you don't even ask how they are doing
No matter how self-centered you may seem at the time, they know you don't mean to be. Your best friend knows that you love her and she understands that sometimes you just need to get everything off of your chest. She has her moments too.
Take the time out of your day to thank your best friends for all that they do for you! Without them, you would not be the same person you are today. So, to all of my amazing and endlessly loving friends, THANK YOU!!
