Let's be real for a second, although a night out can be a blast, hear me out when I say that a night in can be even better.
1. Have a Movie Night
My sorority actually plans a weekly Thursday Night movie marathon in our TV room, popcorn included! Watching ABC’s TGIT is also acceptable (#HTGAWM).
2. Order In
Yeah, getting dolled up to go out is fun, but like have you tried pizza? I guarantee you no party will be as amazing as the BBQ Chicken Pizza I just ordered from Dominos.
3. Go to a Carnival
Having a frat-party-free night doesn't have to mean staying in. Grab a group and head to the nearest theme park! It could be a pop-up carnival or Disneyland, either way, a night under the lights of the ferris wheel will be sure to please.
4. Get Fro-Yo
The calories don’t count if you only get samples (but of course you're going to get a to-go cup anyways with as many toppings as physically possible).
5. Craft
So are you ever actually going to try all those DIY projects you pinned on Pinterest? How about painting a cooler for your little’s birthday coming up? A night in gets a lot more interesting when glitter and acrylic paint are involved.
Don't think you have the artistic skill to craft on your own? Go to a painting class, and you'll leaving feeling like the next Picasso.
6. Yoga
Who cares if you can barely touch your toes? With all those midterms, you could use some control over your body and mind. So...Namaste...or whatever.
7. Stay In Your PJs
Don’t get me wrong, I live for an excuse to wear my penguin or dolphin onesie out on the Row, but do you know what is just as good? Wearing my penguin or dolphin onesie without having to worry about some stupid frat boy spilling his drink alllll over it.
8. Bake
Freshly baked cookies > Awkward small talk. Always.
9. Paint Your Nails
Because you and I both know you're sick of the three-week old polish on your nails right now.
10. Karaoke
Don't knock it till you try it. Karaoke bars can be a blast with the right group of people.
11. Video Game Tournaments
It is an unquestionable fact of life that Mario Kart might be the funnest game ever invented. Starting a tournament at the house will have everyone flocking to the TV Room. In fact, a couple of my sisters are trying to get a Wii for our house for this exact purpose. Add Mario Party and Super Smash Bros. to that collection and checkmate.
