11 Stages Of Midterm Week We All Know
Rubbia Khan

As I'm writing this I currently am on stage 7. We've all been there, when you have 3 midterms in the span of 5 days. These are the stages of midterm week.

1. The calm before the storm.

This is the two or three weeks in which everything seems all sunshine and rainbows. You think wow, I'm loving life. Not a care in the world.

2. The storms a coming.

This is when you start realizing you should be studying, instead of starting up a new series on Netflix; but you ignore that voice and go ahead and binge anyways. You justify to yourself that no one started to study, why should you?

3. FOSI (Fear of Staying In)

Now this one is like the last one, except now, all your friends have started their multicolored review sheets while you're still on the dancefloor because one more dance won't hurt, right?

4. The storm's here.

So you cave in and start studying, too bad while you were studying all your friends have reviewed already and your lagging behind. Also, it hits you that there aren't enough hours of the day.

5. Coffee isn't an option anymore. It's a lifeline.

The amount of times you go to Starbucks is sad. At this point your barista knows you.

6. What is sleep?

At this point, you've fallen asleep legit everywhere; on the way to get coffee, in class, on your laptop, on the couch in the library, the floor. Basically everywhere but your bed, because you don't have enough time to have 8 hours of sleep.

7. The eye of the hurricane.

Here it is. The exam you've been studying for what seems like forever. But you can't celebrate yet, bb, you still got at least two more exams to take. NO BREAKS! As soon as you finish one exam you start studying for the next.

8. This is the time for the strong-willed.

YOU'RE ALMOST THERE!! JUST ONE MORE LEFT. You can tasssssste the freedom. Don't give up just yet. You've gotten this far.

9. PARTAYYY!

YOU DID IT!! You can celebrate now. Throw those practice tests out, you never need to look at another index card ever again!

10. Reunited with your one true love: your bed.

You now can sleep to your heart's content.

11. Blackboard Blowup

May the curve be in your favor.

All gifs aside I really do wish all of you luck in whichever midterm/finals you have. You've got this!!

Love,

Your resident humanoid.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
