It is finally February, which means that Valentine's Day is quickly approaching. Most people see Valentine's Day as a day meant for couples, but I say it is the perfect day for all of the single ladies out there to treat ourselves. Who says that you need a man to have a good Valentine's Day? There is plenty for you to do this year with all of your best friends.
1. Go See "Fifty Shades Darker."
"Fifty Shades Darker" is almost in theaters, and Valentine's Day is the perfect day to go see the beautiful Mr. Grey (Jamie Dornan).
2. Get dolled up.
Who says you need a man to get all dolled up? Wear something that makes you feel pretty and confident.
3. Go out to dinner with your single best friends.
Going out to dinner with your girlfriends is a lot better than going out with your boyfriend. Go to your favorite restaurant and make sure you get your favorite dessert to share (or eat it all by yourself no judgment here).
4. Have a girls night at home.
Life is stressful, so you might as well spend the night in your favorite pajamas, your favorite wine (if you are 21 of course), facemasks, a good romantic comedy and lots of chocolate with all of your girls.
5. Eat your heart out.
You do not need a guy to buy you Valentine's Day candy. Go stock up on your favorites because calories do not count on Valentine's Day, right?
6. Read your favorite romance novel.
Escape reality and spend your night reading your favorite romance novel. Any Nicholas Sparks book will work (if you want to cry).
7. Indulge in a bath.
Put on your favorite music, make a warm bath, add your favorite bath bomb, light some candles and indulge in a bath. Relax a little to get through the rest of the week.
8. Go play with cute puppies.
Let's be real, cute puppies make everything better. If you do not have a dog, visit your local animal shelter and love on some sweet dogs.
9. Give yourself a spa day.
Treat yourself to a massage, facial, manicure, pedicure and anything else your heart desires.
10. Go on a shopping spree.
Retail therapy is the best therapy (for you, maybe not your wallet).
11. Binge watch your favorite Audrey Hepburn movies.
Who doesn't love a good Audrey Hepburn movie? Go watch "Breakfast At Tiffany's" or "Funny Face" to brighten your day.
